I have a problem with this headline. There's no evidence in this report or in the source article of an actual "wave of political violence" against these officials. They mention the shooting of Charlie Kirk and of the two Democratic politicians in Minnesota. Neither seem to be part of any wave that would target these politicians who are moving into cheap or free housing on military bases. The headline unnecessarily legitimizes their paranoia and their excuses.
Steven Miller had to move because of sidewalk chalk outside his house. His wife bravely told reporters they would not back down or cower in fear to the peaceful protests, then he sold his house and ran away.

They know that there is no precedent for such violence against them specifically. But they are also extrapolating, correctly I think, that people will want to kill them for what they are planning to do, above even what they are currently doing.

Is this "wave of political violence" in the room with us right now? From what I can tell it's pretty much a bunch of libs holding up posterboards and complaining about/mocking officials. I don't think they've got the stomach to be violent quite frankly.
If you're used to the privilege of nobody ever insulting you to your face, the sting of realising some people aren't afraid to say bad things about you does feel like violence. All mechanisms intended to keep sharp words away from your fragile pride have evidently failed – what's to say those awfully bold people won't hurt you in other ways?
Hopefully the Generals and Admirals remember being kicked out of their top tier housing the next time they are ~~asked~~ ordered to violate citizens constitutional rights.

This was written in the nineties, and the authors look forward to this with obvious glee. They also have a total disdain for the "unworthy" in their minds. They think people that were/are basically unskilled in the West were/are WAY overpaid and that's due to the evil government extracting wealth from the brave job creators, who, before the information age, were subject to building massive infrastructure in physical locations, the poor dears. The authors look forward to a bright future where the worthy will be able to escape taxes w/o having to sacrifice by living in some third world shithole with a terrible quality of life.

There was no violence against this person. The people who wrote pretty basic nonthreatening messages on the sidewalk near his house checked with their security before they did it.
