Maybe because he's a fucking moron

[-] floofloof@lemmy.ca 89 points 1 month ago

He's too stupid to realize that going on and on about how difficult the test was that he aced does not make him look smart. He's too stupid to realize other people know what's on that test and just how straightforward it is. He's too stupid to understand that it's not an intelligence test. He's too stupid.

[-] bagsy@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago
[-] mycodesucks@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago

I could completely believe passing this test is impressive to his supporters and that most of them would fail it.

[-] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 month ago

So stupid....and yet, he got re elected, has the whole government living in fear and is stealing billions in corruption, without any consequences. Sure, he's stupid, and 78 million people who voted for him are geniuses.

Has little to do with being old. Bernie Sanders is old but he is sharp. The orange dolt never even approached average except in being a shit-head - he honed this skill.

[-] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 month ago

Sure, if he's the moron, then what do you call the millions who voted for him?

[-] MojoMcJojo@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

America has an education problem and it's been getting worse for decades, especially in the South and rural areas.

[-] Professorozone@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Yeah, but it's ok. The states will handle it as soon as the department of education is shut down.

[-] MojoMcJojo@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

As long as the states follow the Republican Christian doctrine

[-] The_v@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

Assuming human intelligence naturally follows a normal distribution model plus add in confounding factors like: malnutrition, chemicals, abuse, etc. that are known to degrade human reasoning. Reasoning is further restricted by limiting access to education and extensive false propaganda. These factors flattens and shift the distribution curve to the left.

The millions of people who voted for him are morons what are easily manipulated by their ignorance and fear.

This has always been the Achilles heal of a democratic systems.

I want to know if the MRI was ordered before or after the "very hard" cognitive test..my grandfather's dementia was diagnosed as due to multiple infarctions and he lived a long time in memory care. Get the 25th ready

[-] Rhaedas@fedia.io 37 points 1 month ago

The fact that such legal measures aren't used on so many of our representatives when they show obvious decline (or incompetence) shows that others behind the scene are gaining from keeping them in place as long as possible. This isn't a way to run a government.

[-] applebusch 4 points 1 month ago

It sure is a way to cling to power.

[-] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 month ago

Person. Woman. Man. Camera. TV. Feinstein.

[-] NuXCOM_90Percent@lemmy.zip 20 points 1 month ago

Why would they?

His base worships him. And miller et al already do whatever the hell they want. Just drag trump out to drool on camera and show proof of life a few times a month and then run the country themselves.

[-] ToastedRavioli@midwest.social 39 points 1 month ago

Person. Woman. Man. Camera. TV

[-] SaraTonin@lemmy.world 27 points 1 month ago

The best thing about that is that he wasn’t even remembering the words from the test, he was naming things he could see

[-] SeductiveTortoise@piefed.social 3 points 1 month ago

Phone. Pillow. Darkness. Maybe monsters.

[-] tisktisk@piefed.social 5 points 1 month ago

you def beat me to it, but I love the last bit too much sry

[-] 60d@lemmy.ca 27 points 1 month ago

No one's ever got perfect, he said. He dares everyone that disagrees with him on policy to go up against his score.

Sounds like he's surrounded by sycophants telling him how smart he is.

[-] MuskyMelon@lemmy.world 27 points 1 month ago

Dementia test is hard - Trump

[-] Redditsux@lemmy.world 25 points 1 month ago

Yeah he has early dementia.

[-] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 month ago

He is 79. That's not early.

Yeah, this is definitely funny. But these aren’t the headlines that really get me feeling good. What really gets my going are the headlines that say a judge blocked another selfish, unconstitutional order, or when a MAGA supporter or member of the Republican Party in Congress realizes the greed is out of control and starts to buck back, when an institution or organization decides to push back against the bullshit and say no — I like those headlines the best. (can’t recall if we’ve truly seen that last one actually).

Because the reality is that Trump isn’t dumb. He’s a lying, cheating, asshole. Has been his whole life, every New Yorker knows that. And what he does know is that if he lies or cheats, and nobody does anything about it, he gets away with it, each time getting easier.

[-] Garbagio@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 month ago

Mmm, intelligence is a broad, multifaceted descriptor that as defined rarely describes the full tapestry of a person's skills. I can still very safely say that in most cases though, Trump is an absolute dumbfuck. He just happens to be smart when it comes to convincing other dumbfucks of his dumb shit.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

He knows the Church of the Subgenius mantra quite well - "Act like a dumbshit and they'll treat you like an equal" - J.R. "Bob" Dobbs

"My IQ is in the 99.99th percentile!"

[-] daannii@lemmy.world 18 points 1 month ago

It sure is. On the left side.

[-] mrmaplebar@fedia.io 19 points 1 month ago

He truly is one of the dumbest people I've ever witnessed.

[-] Jolly_Platypus@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago

He loves the uneducated. They are as stupid as he is.

[-] bluemoon@piefed.social 12 points 1 month ago

Can he read the phrase "go to jail"

[-] Sterile_Technique@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

He can read it just fine - the problem there is our impotent legal system.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Didn't Donbald say it gets super-hard when the questions get up to 20 or 25 or something?

If we are talking about MoCA, there are only 11 questions on the versions I've seen. What is he even talking about when he challenges AOC and Jasmine Crocket to take the test? It's not a test to prove how smart you are, but he's there talking about how "low IQ" they are and how tough this cognitive exam is. It's not even close to the flex he thinks it is.

Someone needs to take the keys away from Grandpa....

[-] bunnyBoy@pawb.social 3 points 1 month ago

The MOCA is scored up to 30 points with 26 being a 'normal' score. My assumption is he's talking about achieving that score is difficult, not getting that many questions correct.

Source : Someone else posted the test in this thread and it's at the top in the scoring instructions
