Surely the shame will cause her to resign immediately.

I, for one, welcome this new definition of Traditional American Family Values!

[-] krayj@sh.itjust.works 34 points 1 year ago

psyche! Those are the rules for me, not the rules for thee.

[-] MorgoFett@lemmy.world 22 points 1 year ago

Agreed. Dating a pro drag queen democrat and PDAs. Maybe she’s turning a new leaf?

[-] jonne@infosec.pub 9 points 1 year ago

Wait, who's the guy she's dating?

[-] MorgoFett@lemmy.world 21 points 1 year ago
[-] jonne@infosec.pub 23 points 1 year ago

Holy crap, that's going to go over great with her supporters. Vote for me and I'll jack off democrats in public!

[-] ElBarto@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 year ago

Can't wait for her next town hall meeting.

[-] Ghyste@sh.itjust.works 64 points 1 year ago

She's far too stupid to experience shame.

Boebert’s boyfriend can be seen groping the congresswoman’s breasts. Boebert takes his hand and pulls it closer to her breasts as she turns to speak into his ear. The Republican congresswoman then puts her hands on her date’s crotch and appears to rub his penis.

Boebert and the Republican Party have frequently touted that they represent “traditional family values.”

[-] Ubermeisters@lemmy.zip 10 points 1 year ago

Yeah you know traditional like back in the Old Testament

[-] mycatiskai@lemmy.one 4 points 1 year ago

Well traditionally you would have to get a tug job in the theater while watching a play because you couldn't get a movie theater blowjob before movies existed.

[-] jerkface@lemmy.ca 33 points 1 year ago

I have never seen any indication that Boebert has experienced a moment of shame in her life. She's pathological.

[-] YoBuckStopsHere@lemmy.world 24 points 1 year ago

Totally pulling a Pee Wee Herman and jacking it in the theater.

[-] evidences@lemmy.world 37 points 1 year ago

I mean the dude was jacking it in a porn theater, at least Paul Rubens was in the appropriate theater for his actions.

[-] krayj@sh.itjust.works 22 points 1 year ago

Can't wait to hear how her supporters choose to defend this (and her other behavior at this event). I'm sure they've already internally justified it to themselves.

Grandkid needs another Aunt orUncle!

[-] Ubermeisters@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 year ago

They just won't hear about it

[-] SeaJ@lemm.ee 17 points 1 year ago

Her loud singing must have sounded an awful lot like moaning.

[-] wheeldawg@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 year ago

You mean her moaning must have sounded enough like singing to make a more polite headline.

[-] j4k3@lemmy.world 15 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)
[-] SeaJ@lemm.ee 12 points 1 year ago

There is zero actual evidence she was a call girl. She is a piece of shit but let's not spread misogynistic garbage.

[-] j4k3@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

I've only seen headlines in passing taken at face value because I do not care deeper than this about someone with no depth and shit takes on real solutions. Given her behavior I've observed in other headlines, she does what I would label as "call ~~girl~~ {person} politics." Still, I edited the post as "deleted" as I do not have ties to propaganda machines or desire to reinforce one. There are plenty of people whoring for the highest bidders on both sides of the manufactured political circus show and it isn't limited to any affiliation, race, or gender.

[-] GiddyGap@lemm.ee 10 points 1 year ago

The evangelicals in Woodland Park must be real proud of her.

Really adds credibility to the claims that she used to be an escort.

[-] negativeyoda@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

Like school in the summertime...

[-] twistypencil@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

I'm confused about the dude, supposedly a Democrat, who runs a lgbt+ bar.... How

[-] bufordt@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 year ago

Don't confuse someone making money off of progressives to be someone supporting progressive policies.

I don't really have a problem with this. It was dark and loud, probably. I honestly couldn't care less about people groping or being groped. Shit...I would've done the same thing if I was Boebert's date and she let me.

[-] krayj@sh.itjust.works 47 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Rewind. Now consider she is representing a political party that proclaims that any/all lewd behavior is demonic in nature and needs to be outlawed into oblivion and that any books that describe the behavior they just performed have already been banned in all schools and public libraries (by said party). That is the current reality, you can't make this shit up.

[-] PeepinGoodArgs@reddthat.com 24 points 1 year ago

That's the real issue, her hypocrisy.

But, honestly, if we're still fretting over Republican hypocrisy, then we're way behind. Because they're shameless af.

[-] Glide@lemmy.ca 33 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

This isn't about turning up your nose at her behaviour. This is about the lying, the shaming of others, and the double standard she continues to perpetuate through American culture.

If this were anyone else, she'd be dragging them, because that's the kind of piece of shit she is.

EDIT: Autocorrect is vicious.

There are still other people present who probably didn't want to be part of their sexual adventures. They were deriving pleasure from the presence of those people but the other people didn't consent to being in the presence of this behavior. That's wrong.

[-] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

It’s also criminal.

[-] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 18 points 1 year ago

And surrounded by kids.

You sure you don’t have a problem?

[-] SeaJ@lemm.ee 10 points 1 year ago

He ex husband wouldn't have a problem with that.

[-] GiddyGap@lemm.ee 11 points 1 year ago

It's the endless hypocrisy. Claiming to be holier-than-thou on Sundays while pandering to evangelicals with constant end-times rhetoric. Then lying through her teeth and engaging in lewd behavior the rest of the week.

[-] MorgoFett@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago

Come on man. Have some standards with whom you grope.

[-] the_q@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

The problem is you don't think it's a problem.

The pearl-clutching coverage is fucking bullshit. Yes, point out her hypocrisy and lies, but claims like "x-rated behaviour" are obvious slander, in a situation so horrid that no fucking slander is even necessary. Its like they just cannot help themselves. They are not our saviours, they're just the devil waiting in the wings.

[-] MorgoFett@lemmy.world 19 points 1 year ago

They politicians? They the media? Who they is?

[-] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 18 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)
  1. it’s snippet meant to generate clicks
  2. her tits were in full view of kids as some dude groped the shit out of them and she returned the favor on his dick.

X-rated is fairly mild here.

[-] Semi-Hemi-Demigod@kbin.social 11 points 1 year ago

A handjob is definitely x rated

[-] SuddenlyBlowGreen@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago

A woman jerking off her date and getting her breasts fondled in public is not x-rated behaviour to you?

So what exactly is?

[-] I_Fart_Glitter@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

I think for the X rating you actually have to see penis entering an orifice. R rating is genitals in full view. Fondling over the clothes.. I dunno.. PG 13? Maybe R? Apparently there is some cabal of old white men who decide the ratings, not me.

I do think it's worse than the candidate who was recently outed for having sex with her husband for tips on Chatturbate. Only consenting adults saw those two getting freaky. Bobert was "fiddling" in front of people who just wanted to watch Beetlejuice.

She just wanted to juice his beetle.

[-] jasondj@ttrpg.network 4 points 1 year ago

Honestly though the sexual undertones in Beetlejuice are laid on pretty thick.
