It's actually still baffling to see companies like AWS and Zoom, who arguably are all about enabling remote work, go with mandates like that. But yeah, it's probably a stealth layoff, except they're going to lose their best employees.

The witnesses said the car appeared to reverse after hitting the cyclist for a second time before moving forward again, over the man’s body. The driver’s teenage daughter was also in the car at the time, witnesses said.

That's straight up murder, should be prison time. People shouldn't be getting away with murder because they happened to be sitting in a metal box at the time.

Nah, the good thing about killing the leader is that there's always the next one to go after. So don't worry, they'll bomb more babies.

Maybe he got accosted by a Gen Z flight attendant about one of his biting air travel observations.

It was always weird to me that the supposed comedian was the one playing it straight in the show, unless that was a meta joke, I guess.

Seems like it generally just gets triggered by a viral infection, but obviously it's hard to find conclusive evidence for that as people get viral infections all the time and usually recover fine. In a way COVID was a useful 'experiment' where we got a lot of cases of people getting long COVID right after a confirmed infection (because everyone was getting tested, which you typically wouldn't do for your average viral infection).

Well, do you have millions of dollars in donor money? This is the inevitable outcome from the decades long process of legalising corruption. Both parties are now committed to do the bidding of the owner class, and the only difference between the parties is culture war bullshit (which incidentally also drives traffic on social media, which is great for their bottom line).

It was an IDF-involved shooting.

And it's not like deleting will fix it now, it's been copied millions of times now.

I could see this working if targeted towards never Trump Republicans, but they're risking accidentally motivating people to actually vote for her based on something she was never planning on doing.

Some of this Progress 2028 stuff sounds based as fuck though. If only she was running on that.

I thought this was always obvious. His whole appeal was 'he says it like it is' and 'he's brave enough to say what we're all thinking'.

That's why scandals didn't affect him, he never pretended to be virtuous like most of the other Republicans do.

A third of people in any society have authoritarian tendencies and will vote for the strong man 'that will set everything straight', and it's always a failure of mainstream politicians that allows these people to get into power (either by not motivating the other 70% to vote for their project, being too divided, or by going into a coalition with that party).
