I had similar questions and didn't think to ask here. I'm around Lake Shore in the USA.

there were some answers here ^
https://www.cryobank.com/ Cost 571 for initial depostit+federally mandated blood tests+6 months of storage and it's 161 or so for each additional deposit, and storage is under $300/yr if you mention you are doing it because you are transitioning and ask for the pride discount. They have a location in SF bay area, LA area, NYC, and in the boston area.
I got 4-8 vials, avg 6, per deposit. I did 24 vials. Not sure if it was enough.
I used https://sppare.me/ and depending on how much you store, the price ranges from $250 initial + 1 year of storage and then $145/yr to $750 and $215/yr. The process was super easy and all at home. I ordered 3 kits ($750) and got 9 vials total. From what I've been able to gather, a pregnancy can take anywhere from 1 vial to about 6, so there's no way to tell exactly how many children you'll be able to get from X vials
I used legacy! They are very LGBT friendly and have changed their branding to say "parenthood starts with you" and I am able to have everything there under my chosen name. I did the kit for 2 samples stored for 5 years, and I used a coupon "Dave" to get 15% off and make it $850. I had a few issues with several samples, and they allowed me to produce and send new samples to analyze and I was able to store the best 2 out of like 4 samples that I produced. I was really pleased with my experience with them overall and they seemed a bit better than the other mail in companies. I definitely recommend using them! I ended up having 8 vials stored from my 2 samples, and while they aren't "good enough" samples for IUI they can be used for IVF so I am able to start on my HRT without worrying about kids as much which is great!
I did it through local hospital. If I remember approximate costs was 380 for initial deposit, 265 for each subsequent banking. And after first year 600 a year storage fee.
