Maybe some sort of hero who can save his princess (my gf) from danger? Hmm...

Of course, and your prince too! <3

My brother was the same way. He became best friends with a personal trainer. Not because he was a personal trainer, just in that their interests aligned. Now, they work out regularly and eat all the meats and sweet potatoes in the world. Which is why it'll be hard to find either of those, but he only took the one trainer. So maybe go find one of your own, and become the caveman you've got going on in your head.

and sometimes, I wanna be my female identity: a big buff woman named Akari x3

Then be a buff gal. Be whatever you want, but only reason why I said what I said is because physical strength takes time to grow so no time like the present.

Have you watched Utena? This is basically the plot so I think you might enjoy it.

Utena is a very good show, as long as you're okay with drama and static imagery. It's one of my favorite anime. Although the drama, I can't stand as much anymore. I actually like Princess Tutu more between the two by this point, because it's kinder. Less incestuous.

Princess Tutu is a favorite of mine too! I'm surprised - it's not a very well known show but it's so creepy and unsettling while also being beautiful and wholesome. No other show I've seen has pulled that off, except maybe Madoka Magica.

We seem to be aligned in tastes, pass me more? Your call!

Hmm. I'm a huge fan of Steven Universe. It's the quintessential feel-good story intertwined with dread, loss, and trauma. I definitely relate to Pearl's loss and subsequent issues. What are some of your favorites?

Absolutely shameful confession that I love Yami Shibai. It's just so trashy. I love the songs, the illustrations, the horror. Perhaps in that order. It's awful, I love it so much. Mononoke is *my "high-brow" answer, which is one of my favorites as a whole, but jeez do I love Yami Shibai. I feel like I could sit with the first six episodes of The Woman Named Fujiko Miine forever, and kinda let the other six drift off into the abyss. Speaking of absolute nonsense, I love Bly-Manor but I like The Turn of the Screw in any form. Especially that somekindofdifferent 90s adaptation, it's got about 700% less gay however. Watching a couple of minutes of this drew me right in. There's just something about it, it casts a hypnotic spell to my brain-bin. Speaking of queer, at the intersection of that and wholesome (well...er...SU) I love Magical Girl Friendship Squad. Which is sort of is SU and Puppycat had a baby and BLAM - you get this.

Toss more if you want!

Holy shit, I've gotta watch all of those. Are they mostly anime?

I watch a lot of 90s shows - Xena, Buffy, XFiles. They have the perfect combination of camp and charm that just does it for me. ReBoot is a really good one, too. It's the first fully 3d animated TV show and takes place inside of a computer. The main character is an antivirus program. Really neat concept.
