Harry Potter fans don't give a flying fuck
I just dropped my 'dumblederp' account for this one because Rowling is a piece of shit.
We actually tried to tell streamers about this when we were back on twitch. They quickly showed their true colours and made it very clear they did not care as they went on and played the awful wizard game anyway, or said that they would but offline.
We left twitch for several reasons, but the lack of care from streamers, even those we moderated for was definitely a big reason.
Imagine playing another wizard game when Noita exists
Never heard of it, we will check it out.
I love the game to death, but it's not for everyone. It's really hard. But in my opinion, no other game comes as close to magic as Noita, and without spoiling anything, the mechanics of the game involving clever use of magic and alchemy allow you to break the world in the game in sometimes hilarious fashion.
That part does sound fun at least. We do enjoy complex and nuanced magic systems that go into detail. One reason we enjoyed The Magicians is because of that, they really went out of their way to show how magic worked, though we didn't like that magic was based on pain in that world.
I'm not sure I'd call it nuanced. It is however very complex, probably more complex than that of any other game; in fact people learn new stuff after thousands of hours of game time.
But if it doesn't appeal to you because of other factors, these will probably not make up for it
Looks interesting if you're into violence and stuff. Nowadays though we aren't that much, so we can see why other wizard games that are more social with presumably storylines would be appealing, sadly the most popular one also supports our deaths.
The game actually rewards you for playing as a pacifist (though the definition is somewhat technical, i.e. summoning a sea of acid to melt your enemies in is is considered pacifist because you didn't shoot them directly). But it's perfectly ok not to play it. I was also poking fun at people like me who are somewhat obsessed with the game.
Yeah we understand. Oh, that's interesting!
Lol. From your description here I thought it was going to be really graphic or something. Then I went to the page and looked at it. It's a cute little pixel graphics. It literally looks like it was made using terraria's engine
Falling sand engine, their own. Every pixel is simulated.
We looked at the videos on steam for it and to us it looked very violent. Graphics don't have any effect on us on whether something is violent or not, and they were definitely advertising that as one of the main selling points.

I know of one decent way to do that 🏴☠️
Honestly? Even pirating art from an artist like that can be a negative. If you signal boost them, even unintentionally, and it leads to someone else supporting them, that's not good. But that's splitting hairs.
It should be but it won't be, too many people are comfortable with hate.
It does not directly affect them, therefore they do not care. But don’t worry, many of those fans will put up a rainbow profile pic sometime next month, for a few days. Most support ends as soon as it is even the slightest bit inconvenient. We as a community are too small to affect real change.
I will admit it has been easy for me because I have always thought Harry potter was shit long before JK decided to inform the world shes a bigot. So for me this is just one more reason Harry Potter is shit.
I used to love Harry Potter when I was younger and her crazy wasn't so obvious. I remember going to bookstore to get one of the last books at midnight so I would start reading it right away. I own all of the books and the DvDs for the movies so I could consume the media without increasing her revenue but I haven't in a longtime. It sucks when something that you loved become problematic so I understand why people might not to give it up. But its the right choice
It won't be because they have made their choice, sadly.
