Donald Trump is raging against the Supreme Court after it temporarily blocked his administration from using a centuries-old wartime law to fast-track migrant deportations. On Saturday, Trump ramped up his attacks by highlighting a plan to move “terrorists” near justices’ homes.

“The president should release these terrorists near the Chevy Chase Country Club, with daytime release,” former GOP staffer Mike Davis wrote online. Trump shared the post.

Isn't threatening judges like that illegal? Oh silly me, legality is irrelevant

[-] Catma@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

"Will no one rid me of these turbulent justices?"

I’m sure he’s just joking. I wish someone would fucking kill this prick already. See, I just did it too. I’m joking about someone blowing the president’s fucking head clean off. See how humor works in the US? I’m just following the president’s lead here.

Just make sure you arent posting pebbles in the shape of numbers on a beach, that one can actually get you in trouble.

[-] GuyFawkes@midwest.social 7 points 1 day ago

Clearly a line too far!

[-] OldManBOMBIN@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

That's funny. It reminds me of this joke about Donald Trump getting picked up by the cartels and then they stab him to death with screwdrivers, slowly, over a period of days, and then the footage ends up on LiveLeak or something? I can't remember the whole thing, unfortunately. I think there was something about wild dogs fucking the holes, too? Man my memory sucks.

You know... with how incompetent the secret service has been lately.... they'd probably miss this thing:

And, getting hit by lightning is an act of god right, right?

[-] Carmakazi@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago

Fun fact they actually foiled a plot on Obama where the guy was building some sort of microwave-based "death ray." He was going to mount it inside a panel van.

[-] AngrySquirrel@lemm.ee 10 points 1 day ago

How has this not been made into a movie yet?

[-] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

The Day of the Jackal, but I recommend the original book Frederick Forsyth (1971) and movie produced in 1973.

[-] jonne@infosec.pub 3 points 1 day ago

Probably don't want to give anyone any ideas

[-] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

that idea has already been had, so it might as well happen.

[-] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Well, I don't mind making jokes because it's basically "just" a giant taser hooked up to a massive pulsed power source. it shoots a wire at something, which then makes contact with ground and it dumps all the stored power through that wire, turning it to plasma and making lightning.

that tower isn't just to raise the turret up- that is the cap bank. Getting that thing anywhere near Trump would be a shocking display of incompetence. or complicity.

also, I don't have the resources or expertise to build it. lols.

[-] Carmakazi@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

I looked up my example afterwards. It was actually x-ray based, so they wouldn't actually need to expose the device for it to work, and it would have feasibly fit in a van.

The two accomplices were also KKK members and they seemed more focused on killing random Muslims with it and going for Obama was more of an aspiration. But as delusional morons do, they overextended and got multiple undercover agents involved in their plot before they actually did any harm.

[-] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

The best escape plans always involve getting multiple federal agencies into a pissing match!

No. Really!

(/s. They’re usually smart enough to cooperate long enough to get you someplace “cozy”)

[-] paraphrand@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Just harmless ironic humor. No one should bother you.

[-] Gregg@lemm.ee 5 points 1 day ago

And if anyone does then comedy is truly dead!

First they came for the dick jokes, but I said nothing because my act didn’t include dick jokes

Then they came for the [ethnicity] people be like jokes, but I said nothing because my act didn’t include [ethnicity] people be like jokes

Etc

The "news" media is too busy reporting egg prices, people named Kardashian, and of course, lots of sports.

[-] Freshparsnip@lemm.ee 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I'm proud of not giving a fuck about anyone named Kardashian. Don't particularly care about sports either.

[-] WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago

Sure, but- if it bleeds, it leads.

[-] ZoopZeZoop@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

This reminds me of a song I like called "The Piano that Jack Filled."

[-] Pnut@lemm.ee 11 points 1 day ago

I guess this means he can't get rid of them.

[-] SnarkoPolo@lemm.ee 33 points 1 day ago

It's called fascism. Is anyone surprised?

[-] wanderwisley@lemm.ee 13 points 1 day ago

The high cholesterol in Donny’s body needs to rage terror on him.

[-] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

Indeed, fueled by cheeseburgers and Diet Cokes.

[-] Boddhisatva@lemmy.world 63 points 1 day ago

I kind of wish he would do something like this so maybe, just maybe the court would start taking him seriously as the threat he is.

[-] Zerlyna@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago

Word. They just aren’t getting it.

[-] redsand@lemmy.dbzer0.com 35 points 1 day ago

I live in the dumbest movie I've ever seen.

[-] aceshigh@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

We past Idiocracy on day 1.

[-] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

The president in Idiocracy was generally reform minded and receptive to evidence-based argument and policy.

[-] SabinStargem@lemmy.today 14 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Justices: "Hey, do you want to become our marshals and uphold our laws?"

Terrorists: "Sure. Where do we get started?"

Justices: "Start with breaking some ICE, ladies and gentlemen."

[-] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

The court is already heavily tilted towards Trump, with at least three of them operating as a virtual rubber stamp to the President.

Meanwhile, the remaining judges don't particularly like or support one another. Roberts and ACB seems happy enough to throw Jackson, Kagan, and Sotomayor under the bus.

No, don't release the terrorists, please.... Honestly though, even if they were full fledged terrorists, what does he think they are going to do if they just release them from custody near a judge's house? Are they in any way motivated or equipped to go commit crimes against them? They aren't homing pigeons you can deploy against your political enemies.

[-] SpikesOtherDog@ani.social 27 points 1 day ago

Donald Trump is threatening a planned attack against Supreme Court Justices. He is planning to release people with instructions to cause harm. Basically, he will be deputizing prisoners, possibly in exchange to assassinate his political opponents for the prisoner's freedom.

[-] dhork@lemmy.world 26 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

He already did release a bunch of terrorists with orders to target his enemies. They're all the J6ers he pardoned.

[-] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Tons of them have been re-arrested already, though. He needs fresh meat

[-] PancakesCantKillMe@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

I’ve only heard of like three getting arrested and one killed by cops.

Tons of them are getting re-hired as Brownshirts for sure.

[-] prole 4 points 1 day ago

Imagine if literally any other human alive said this shit.

[-] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Felonious acts by a felon?!

You don't say!

[-] Vegasvator@lemmy.today 5 points 1 day ago

A whisper of a murder for a pardon would be all it takes. He doesn't even have to whisper though since it would be an official act and ok for the president to do.
