If Trump had smiled in his mugshot, putting it on merch would have been a fine idea for his campaign.
But the look in that mugshot is just plain sinister. Like if he had TRIED to look guilty, he couldn't have done a better job than he did in that photo.
We all know his supporters are a cult, so this won't bother them at all. But if they go putting this evil-looking mugshot in everyone's face for the duration of the campaign, they are going to turn off a lot of the independent voters.
I have to wonder who the hell can really be considered an “independent voter” at this point..? Like who honestly hasn’t made up their mind one way or another by now?
I think at this point "independent voters" are always-Republicans who also look and can't believe what happened to GOP.
There are an ocean of people who would never ever browse a politics forum for fun or watch the news.
He and Eastman were both trying to pull off this 'righteous anger' vibe. It's fairly offensive, really.
