Summary

JD Vance defended Marko Elez, a 25-year-old Musk aide after racist posts surfaced, including "Normalize Indian hate."

Elez resigned but was reinstated following Vance’s support, despite Vance’s wife being of Indian descent. Vance dismissed criticism, arguing past social media posts shouldn’t ruin careers.

Musk backed Elez after a public poll. Rep. Ro Khanna challenged Vance, who responded dismissively, sparking backlash.

The incident has intensified scrutiny of Musk’s hiring practices and Vance’s stance on racism.

It’s fine, it’s not like he’s going to be disappointed if she makes him sleep on the couch.

Vance’s mental gymnastics are Olympic-tier. Defending a Musk aide who posted “Normalize Indian hate” while married to an Indian woman? Unreal. The man’s moral compass isn’t broken—it’s been sold to the highest bidder.

Elez’s reinstatement is a joke. Racist posts aren’t youthful indiscretions; they’re neon signs of character. But Musk’s Twitter poll governance strikes again, proving that bigotry is just another day at the office for his empire of chaos.

Ro Khanna’s right to call him out. Vance’s dismissal isn’t just cowardice—it’s complicity. If your principles can’t withstand a paycheck or a poll, you don’t have any to begin with.

My sisters just like her, I promise you, shes on his side hating indians, self haters fr.

[-] WhatYouNeed@lemmy.world 6 points 5 hours ago

Public poll online... lol. You can buy likes, followers and poll votes at the drop of a hat. Even easier if you happen to run a certain network...

[-] hperrin@lemmy.ca 8 points 7 hours ago

Surprise surprise, the guy who cozies up to racists to get ahead in life won’t push back against said racists, even to defend his own family.

[-] pyre@lemmy.world 7 points 7 hours ago

is it really cucking if he fucks the cuck chair instead of watching

[-] Teknevra 1 points 5 hours ago

I thought that it was the Cuck Couch?

[-] KairuByte@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 4 hours ago

He’s an equal opportunity furniture cucker.

[-] ByteOnBikes@slrpnk.net 33 points 12 hours ago

His Indian kids are reaching that age when they either realize he's a hateful insufferable piece of shit, OR they themselves become spoiled rich assholes with no moral compass and live off the griff.

Right. So if I have he/him in my email signature I get fired. But if i have hugely racist and problematic tweets that are less than a year old while having almost no experience or credentials whatsoever other than being a little buddy buddy with Musk I get to push out dangerous untested code to the most important payment system in the country so musk can block social security benefits for Grandma like he blocks tweets talking about how terrible a father he is. Got it.

[-] barnaclebutt@lemmy.world 14 points 12 hours ago

By the looks of him, he wasn't getting any from his wife a while ago.

[-] TammyTobacco@sh.itjust.works 15 points 11 hours ago

JD Vance is clearly gay and can't admit it to himself, which is why he's married to a woman he clearly doesn't love, AKA, a Beard.

[-] barnaclebutt@lemmy.world 6 points 8 hours ago

I don't know. How can you be that gay if you are so bad at eye liner?

[-] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 30 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago)

Oh don't get all up in arms about the honor of usha Vance here. She is a Republican too and voted for these neo Nazis into office along with the other neo Nazis.

There's no honor to defend here, she's one of them.

[-] rocket_dragon@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 6 hours ago

Usha Vance comes from one of the richest most powerful castes in India, Kamma, so she was raised on an idea that she has some innate genetic superiority that makes her feel right at home with white supremacists.

[-] thevoidzero@lemmy.world 3 points 5 hours ago

I don't know the cast system in india, but I've seen this sort of behavior a lot from immigrants. Specifically those that "came legally", and hate other immigrants and think themselves superior to other immigrants and blk/ltno people here. They think they are same as wt people because they are "elite" from their area of origin. And many times they justify this racist behavior from current gov by comparing similar racist stereotypes they have from their place of origin. They just moved country, they were racist, now there are people who are racist to them, but they still look down at others instead of standing united.

Sorry for bad abbreviation, kinda don't wanna leave words for it to be flagged somewhere by someone in future and tracked back.

[-] sigmaklimgrindset@sopuli.xyz 2 points 10 hours ago

It's so sad because if you look at their resumes, Usha Vance is actually much more accomplished than her husband. Peter Thiel just prefers JD, I guess.

[-] TheLowestStone@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago

Peter Thiel just prefers JD, I guess.

Probably because of the penis.

[-] disguy_ovahea@lemmy.world 56 points 16 hours ago

Looks like someone is sleeping on the couch.

[-] harrys_balzac@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 4 hours ago

She's on board with this. She's as racist as he is. Until she becomes the "wrong kind of brown person," and I hope it's too late for her at that point.

[-] danc4498@lemmy.world 3 points 8 hours ago

Nah, she knew what she married.

Musk backed Elez after a public poll

Was that 'public poll' done on twitter? Im sure that was fairly conducted.

[-] loudiamond@lemm.ee 7 points 12 hours ago

JD, the vice president, completely disappears for months at a time and imply pops up to be a racist prick and throw his family under the bus

[-] bravesilvernest@lemmy.ml 18 points 15 hours ago

"Yea, but not my wife, she's one of the 'good' ones!" - JD, in his mind

[-] Blue_Morpho@lemmy.world 12 points 14 hours ago

His wife has the same attitude or she would have divorced him.

[-] snekerpimp@lemmy.world 23 points 16 hours ago

Well, it’s obvious this man just hates his wife.

[-] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 10 points 14 hours ago

These fuckers don't have a concept of honour.

[-] Quill7513@slrpnk.net 11 points 15 hours ago

man yeah! fetishization is a pattern of hate. he does not love his wife for who she is. he does lot engage with issues of discrimination she experiences and try to mitigate them from a place of loving her as a fellow human. quite the opposite, in fact. to him she is a sexual status symbol and nothing more. and either she knows that and rolls with it because feMAGAle voters are lapdogs selling out their sisters for temporary comfort, or she's deeply embedded in a system of hate that becomes invisible to you when it's normalized by everyone who's around you. in other words she either knows and just grifts on him to do her scams like melania does, or she's so broken by the hegemony she doesn't know it's possible for your husband to love you.

but anyone's who's surprised doesn't know who these people are

[-] TankovayaDiviziya@lemmy.world 7 points 15 hours ago

The joke just writes itself!

[-] SinningStromgald@lemmy.world 6 points 14 hours ago

Vance is gonna destroy that settee in the den tonight. For a whole 20 seconds.

[-] Imgonnatrythis@sh.itjust.works 2 points 13 hours ago

Men this powerful have to have guiding principles. Hate above all else. You can't compromise.

[-] Diddlydee@feddit.uk 3 points 14 hours ago

Who'd believe that complete cunts would act like complete cunts, like they do every single time?

[-] ILikeBoobies@lemmy.ca 2 points 13 hours ago

Didn’t say hate couches

Does Vance love couches more than his wife?
