The human-ish hand holding the gun is rather unsettling.

[-] fsxylo@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 month ago

It's my strong hand.

[-] AFC1886VCC@reddthat.com 31 points 1 month ago

I see it costs 169 "bucks"

[-] Thatuserguy@lemmy.world 26 points 1 month ago

Absolutely terrible bucks to bucks ratio. Abysmal.

[-] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 25 points 1 month ago

Literally anything besides the metric system.

[-] Voyajer@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

They're just using the working measurement here

[-] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Ok but even if we used metric we’d use this. Box freezers are common round these parts for hunters to preserve their kills

[-] HonoraryMancunian@lemmy.world 17 points 1 month ago

I mean it still kinda works

[-] skyin7@feddit.org 15 points 1 month ago

how many metric persons is this?

[-] Sibbo@sopuli.xyz 12 points 1 month ago

About 0.674824 American persons.

[-] sugar_in_your_tea@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago

So something like 2 metric persons? We Americans are quite large.

[-] chellomere@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

The conversion rate depends on that particular state's obesity rate

[-] Starb3an@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago

As a Texan, can confirm this is helpful for the local demographic.

[-] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Local demographic here, and it's deer hunting season. I can corroborate this.

[-] sugar_in_your_tea@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago

Could probably fit 2 deer in there though. Processed meat packs pretty tight.

[-] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

Depends on the size, how you have them processed, and how much of the backstrap you raid before it even gets to the processor.

Since whitetail are small and backstrap is delicious, yeah.

[-] lemming741@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

You get about one third the body weight in meat. Fully processed you could fit 3 deer in there, probably 4.

I'm sure they factored that in when deciding how to market the product.

Edit: But then again this picture must have been taken in some ass-backwards part of the county if they feel the need to market to rednecks, so maybe they were too stupid to think of that.

Questions:

  1. How many babies does it hold?
  2. How many pints of blood can I freeze?

"Yes officer, this comment right here."

[-] Zier@fedia.io 2 points 1 month ago

[pulls out badge] What seems to be the problem?

[-] sugar_in_your_tea@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago

OP is using pints instead of gallons as a bulk unit of volume, I'm pretty sure they're a commie Brit.

[-] Zier@fedia.io 1 points 1 month ago

But pints are the "100 calorie" packaging portions.

[-] sugar_in_your_tea@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 month ago

Only commies watch their calorie intake.

[-] ThePyroPython@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

Everyone should always have at least 1 freezer deer. It's just common sense.

[-] Voyajer@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Exclusively freezer deer

[-] Hikermick@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

The trick is to fold them properly

This is similar to, but distinct from, the more widely known “DontDeadOpenInside” format. In that case, the text reads correctly top to bottom, but visual cues (like colouration, horizontal proximity, or vertical separation) lead you to try to read it left to right.
