Highly doubt there will be a 2nd debate since Harris has already killed him. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

[-] MelodiousFunk@slrpnk.net 38 points 4 months ago

He's awfully noisy for a corpse.

...please don't tell me this a new problem we have to worry about.

Says the man who immediately wanted another debate with Biden after winning the first one

There’s no point in debating a pathological liar, especially when a large portion of voters are easily duped and fact checking in real time is sub par and depending on the network, completely nonexistent.

It just acts as a free misinformation/propaganda mass dissemination tool

[-] return2ozma@lemmy.world 42 points 4 months ago

All day on Twitter the Trumpers have been foaming at the mouth trying to prove "illegals" are eating pets now in the US. Dumbasses.

[-] DogPeePoo@lemm.ee 29 points 4 months ago

Either actual room temperature IQ Trumpanzees or Russian bots. 🤖

Twitter (shitter) is a cesspool of misinformation.

[-] CitizenKong@lemmy.world 15 points 4 months ago

Well, it is owned by Trump's wannabe propaganda minister...

[-] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 5 points 4 months ago

The thing thats baffling about musk doing propaganda is it almost feels insulting. Like the right went from Goebbels who more or less wrote the book on propaganda, to Musk who just acts like a child on the internet. Like im glad they have degraded this badly since WW2 but still.

[-] Wrufieotnak@feddit.org 4 points 4 months ago

That's also the part I'm glad about. Not to put the Nazis on a pedestal or anything, but propaganda was something they took serious. Now it seems more like the right accidentally hits the notes their followers want to hear.

[-] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 2 points 4 months ago

Yeah, I agree. Still feels like I was promised a fight with a grizzly bear and instead got a black bear instead. Still dangerous regardless but well, though social media is a plague apon mankind which means the average person is also more susceptible. So while not a worthy fight per se its still an annoyingly hard one.

[-] RageAgainstTheRich@lemmy.world 9 points 4 months ago

Was just about to comment this too. They just believe it without a single bit of doubt. They're a lost cause. There is no way you can deradicalize these fuckers.

[-] Windex007@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

Why would he pass up such a golden opportunity to embarrass her again?

[-] YeetPics@mander.xyz 34 points 4 months ago

Same debate tactics and I've never seen them both in the same place at once.. just sayin'

He will only commit a second debate if Kamala commits to losing beforehand

Of course, he declared that she lost The second debate before the first debate even began.

[-] Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago

He'll only commit if it's on fox "news" or oann, he gets all his softball questions in advance, and the moderators are his devoted allies who will cut her off at every opportunity

[-] circuitfarmer@lemmy.sdf.org 11 points 4 months ago

While I'd love to see Kamala wipe the floor with him again, I don't think another debate is necessary. At this point Trump's supporters are conditioned to just believe anything he says regardless of accuracy. Not a great idea to give dude more of a platform than he already has.

For me, the number one reason to want another debate is just to give him more chances to out himself as an absolute buffoon.
