Does that make me homochromatic?

[-] The_Picard_Maneuver@lemmy.world 56 points 2 years ago

Yep, your rainbow flag should be in the mail. Unfortunately, all the stripes are the same color.

My dog has "sectoral heterochromia", which is 2 different colors in the same eye. Dog tax proof:

your dog is 3brown1blue. does he do a youtube channel on physics?

[-] MacStache@programming.dev 27 points 2 years ago

Don't use chromia, switch to firefoxia!

I use Internet Exploria.

Fun fact, David Bowie had a very cool-looking and rare form of heterochromia:

Comparatively boring fact: I have a much more common and less cool form of heterochromia, hazel eyes:

Conclusion: David Bowie and I are nonidentical

[-] rooster_butt@lemm.ee 8 points 2 years ago

David Bowie didn't have heterochromia. He had a permanently dilated pupil due to an injury.

[-] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 8 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

He might have had heterochromia due to an injury rather than congenially, but heterochromia is what irises of more than one color is called regardless of the reason. It's not a specific condition.

Hence hazel eyes and having one blue and one brown eye both being heterochromia.

Those with heterochromia are no homo. Chromia.

Downvotes for reddit dribble, but now that the cost of photography has gone down, I am in favor of more pictures explaining what things aren't. Like when you look up aardvark on Wikipedia, sure it could start with a picture of an aardvark, but why not also include at least a short list of things that definitely aren't Aardvarks?

Then there's central heterochromia:

central heterochromia
