Our local PTA bought a whole bunch of Yutong electric buses, along with Volvo 7900's, and the Yutong buses are shockingly good. I don't know if the PTA will end up finding them durable or worth the money in the long run, but at least from a bus rider's perspective, I have no complaints.

Oddly enough, the weirdest thing for me each time I board one of the Yutong buses is seeing the chinese characters etched into the glass of the windows and the windshield. It shouldn't be a surprise, as such markings in German, French or English on vehicle winshields from western manufacturers have been around for decades and are as good as invisible for most everybody. So why not Chinese ideograms after all, right It's just... I guess the first time I saw them, it finally hit me that China is eating western manufacturers' lunch for real.
