I think that a perfect rock is harder to encounter, so I'll take that. The stick is cooler imo, though.

[-] EherVielleicht@feddit.org 38 points 1 year ago

It's always the rock, and always have been.

[-] Dagamant@lemmy.world 26 points 1 year ago

Stick is temporary. It will degrade and fall apart eventually. Rock is forever, rock can be family heirloom.

[-] Toribor@corndog.social 24 points 1 year ago

Break stick in half? Now two sticks.

Stick always win.

[-] MajesticSloth@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

Had the perfect stick sword as a kid. Another kid thought to be mean and broke it in half. Cool, TWO short swords, dual wielding unlocked.

He made you a pair of sai!

[-] Septimaeus@infosec.pub 2 points 1 year ago

Why you both use caveman voice if not cavemen? Not funny. Use own voice.

Yes. Never use big word when diminutive one suffice.

Rock is easier to carry, lasts longer, and is harder to replicate.

[-] Ketram 19 points 1 year ago

Counterpoint: I will immediately skip the rock on the first body of water I find, losing it instantly. Stick I will treasure forever.

This is, no joke, exactly how the argument went, in my head. And the stick won.

[-] Annoyed_Crabby@monyet.cc 22 points 1 year ago

Perfect stick is easily crafted with a knife, perfect rock will need advanced machine. I pick paper, it win against rock.

[-] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago

Perfect Paper is not the discussion! Back of the line!

[-] rustyfish@lemmy.world 21 points 1 year ago

Just to make my statement perfectly clear:

[-] NOT_RICK@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

Goblin “artificer”

[-] friend_of_satan@lemmy.world 16 points 1 year ago

Definitely the stick. A perfect rock is only good once, which is when you throw it. A stick is good for decades. My dad has a stick I found 36 years ago and still uses it. Nobody uses a rock for that long.

[-] deus@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago

What is stopping you from picking up the rock after throwing it? Let me tell you, I still have a little pebble I found by a river some 20 years ago and it's not even a particularly cool looking rock or anything. If I had a perfect rock you better bet I'd keep it forever.

[-] friend_of_satan@lemmy.world 15 points 1 year ago
[-] deus@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

No worries, the rock won't go anywhere. It'll remain where you left it, patiently waiting for you to become scuba certified, like the good rock it is.

[-] weegee90@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago

I don't know... rocks can be tricksters sometimes.

[-] ilovededyoupiggy@sh.itjust.works 13 points 1 year ago

Take both. If anyone questions you, hit them with whichever one is in your good hand.

[-] Zwiebel@feddit.org 12 points 1 year ago
[-] JohnDClay@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 year ago

Rocks are cool, but that sword stick? So good!

[-] Evil_Shrubbery@lemm.ee 8 points 1 year ago

Can't I multi-class??

[-] dual_sport_dork@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

Take Rokk.

I already own Perfect Stic.

[-] Sidyctism2@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 1 year ago

it even comes with a sort of rock if you want to end your opponent rightly

[-] gedaliyah@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

I feel like there is a stick community on Lemmy but I can't seem to find it now. Has anyone else seen this?

[-] SkybreakerEngineer@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn't work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !remposting@lemm.ee

[-] halvar@lemm.ee 7 points 1 year ago

Rock fits in bundle, stick barely fits in car or big sky man save bus, me take rock

[-] noname_yet2077@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago
[-] snekerpimp@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

Neither, leave it like you found it.

[-] kamenlady@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I always understood it as:

Don't add, but you may remove ( things like sticks or stones, nothing else )

[-] can@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 year ago

Take only pictures

Leave only footprints

[-] snekerpimp@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Stone stacking changed that

[-] ben_dover@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

"may remove" is meant more for garbage other people left behind

[-] greencactus@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Stick

If you ever have a dog, and your stick will get stolen, your dog will find it

Rock

If you ever have a dog, your stick won't be one for long, your dog will chew through it and bring another log

Source: German Shepherd guy

[-] greencactus@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

True, but then your dog will at least have some fun before the stick disappears. If the dog eats the stone, none of you will have the fun. This way, both of you will have fun before the ultimate disappearance of time and space

[-] Anticorp@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

I'm leaning towards a stick, but that's a Goliath felling rock if I've ever seen one. Plus, I could skip that thing across the universe.

[-] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

I hear ya, but.

(slaps stick) You can wail on so many telephone poles with this bad boy.

[-] Fizz@lemmy.nz 4 points 1 year ago

I'd do anything for a good skimming stone

[-] MonkderDritte@feddit.de 3 points 1 year ago

Not the repost.
