Left is my 31st birthday, -22 months HRT, flew a Cessna around and then doublefisted some margaritas. Ask me what happened to my fingers, I dare you! (I have pictures...)

Right is when we saw Orville Peck, 5 days before my 2 year HRT anniversary.

See that's where you went wrong. You tried making human fingers. Not as tasty... I'd imagine

Eh. It varies person to person.

Like Soylent Cola.

As the urgent care ladies reminded me multiple times, apparently you're supposed to let go of the chicken at a certain point...

D: Girl that looks like it huuurt I hope it didn’t leave anything permanent 😬

My feelings got hurt worse when I went to urgent care and the front desk ladies kept making fun of me for deep frying my hand. Like in a jovial and friendly way, but still. I wasn't even going to go but my gf insisted.

So painful when it happens, but so satisfying to peel after it heals.

[-] BongRipsMcGee420@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

The dead skin flaps wouldn't go away so I cut them open with nail clippers to let the inside of the pockets breath 🤮. Also they drained them in the hospital and it was a yellowish clear liquid with brown floaters...

[-] samus12345@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Okay, that's maybe less satisfying!

I shouldn't have clicked this.

Well, that would have been good to know like 4 years ago, where were you then?!?

[-] itslilith 1 points 1 year ago

if one is an egg before accepting one is trans, does it not follow one becomes a chicken after cracking that egg? curious

[-] penguintrinity@social.tchncs.de 1 points 1 year ago

@itslilith @Colour_me_triggered Ain't that a chicken-egg-question?

[-] Vlaxtocia 14 points 1 year ago

Holy shit you're gorge! Did you say you're 31 in the before picture? That's me now and I thought I'd missed the boat in terms of passing... You're making me think now

Thank you so much, and yes! I started HRT at 33. I don't really look at pictures from 0-12 months because it was a little rough going for a bit, but everyone says to trust the process and they aren't wrong.

Here are some of those pictures, I hate looking at them but I know it's beneficial for people to see the awkward phase: https://imgur.com/a/TCPe0MY

Trans timelines or selfies are welcome here :) I'd be open to changing that if enough people wanted it to be changed, but right now where there aren't really established alternatives for transfeminine people to post this kind of content to I'm more than happy to have this community accommodate that.

[-] BassaForte@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

I started following the trans timelines subreddit when I started transitioning a couple months ago and I'm sad there doesn't seem to be a lemmy community for such a thing.

[-] BongRipsMcGee420@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

It was such a great resource when I started transitioning. For a year or so I felt like giving up all the time because there was no way I was going to like how I looked, but seeing all the before and after pictures gave me the hope to see the damn thing through. I'm glad I did!

[-] sara 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Exactly my same experience with that subreddit! Helped me realise that transitioning is what I want and it’s not too late for me yet. Truly inspirational.

Maybe I won’t look as “fem” or “pretty” as some, but the happiness I saw on post transition pics changed something in me

[-] violetraven 1 points 1 year ago

It was horrible for me, constantly second guessing my transition after seeing those beautiful girls after 16 months or whatever. I'm a bit past 3.5 years now and still look like trash. Never got the good ED that the other girls had and swung the other way with compulsive eating. There's a reason why you never see the fat MTFs anywhere

Thank you! I was ready to fight about your username but then I remembered all of our cats are little demons. They are so cute I forget sometimes

Haha yep. They're bad people even if we love them xD
