My spouse ended up doing this with dark souls, fuck blight town, but they were also calling bullshit on O & S. I beat Gwyn while they were at work and it gets brought up all the damn time. I'm on Factorio now and they don't get why managing resources/logistics is fun.

Hey babe, remind me the proper configuration of a 3 to 3 balancer...

[-] stembolts@programming.dev 12 points 6 months ago

B > (Opens string of balancers from internet) > 3 to 3.

The only blueprints I never feel bad using.

For factorio players!

https://factoriobin.com/static/cdn/forever/post/b/a/l/balancers/0/v0/blueprint-181b4fa3d40d68b6.txt

I'll have to verify this string works when I'm at my pc next, will update if not!

My only disagreement is a self repeatable solar panel accumulator and roboport blue it s also allowable

[-] stembolts@programming.dev 5 points 6 months ago

Play with whatever ruleset makes you enjoy the game tbh. Only balancers is just me :-)

That's def the key to factorio, if you ensure you're having a good time you'll keep playing and, rocket!

What do you mean?! Massive poison swamps are the best part of any soulsbourne....ring...sekiro-type game. Some might say the hallmark. I didn't actually finish Sekiro, so maybe there isn't one.

/s (except for the Sekiro part).

O&S are stupid hard on the first playthrough.

[-] Live2day@lemmy.sdf.org 4 points 6 months ago

It's not as bad as the others but sekiro does have a poison swamp boss fight.

[-] platypode@sh.itjust.works 4 points 6 months ago

Ok but O&S is a miserable fight

[-] Keegen@lemmy.zip 2 points 6 months ago

I always summoned Solaire to help me through that fight. Jolly cooperation to even the odds!

They're like a walkin' talkin' UHS file.

90's squad reppin

I'm fairly sure my husband does this for me, just as I do for him. We know how far to let one another struggle before fun becomes frustration. I love playing single player games as a couple.

[-] Septimaeus@infosec.pub 24 points 6 months ago

He knows and loves it. Sometimes he gets stuck just so you’ll save the day.

[-] Tebbie@lemmy.world 12 points 6 months ago

She's the MVP.

[-] boreengreen@lemm.ee 9 points 6 months ago

What happened all those times you nudged him in the wrong direction?

[-] Madison420@lemmy.world 11 points 6 months ago

Kick the chicken...

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 5 points 6 months ago

"I'll show him what happens if he doesn't take out the garbage... wrong direction on level seven."

[-] Fizz@lemmy.nz 5 points 6 months ago

Ruining his fun for 6 years. He'd be crushed if he saw this tweet.

[-] ech@lemm.ee 30 points 6 months ago

If he didn't want help, he wouldn't take suggestions in the first place. Also, bud out of relationships you're not a part of. Your insecurities don't apply to the rest of humanity.

[-] LesserAbe@lemmy.world 7 points 6 months ago

To be fair, none of us are part of this relationship, except that the OP decided to share that piece of their life with the whole world

[-] daltotron@lemmy.world 11 points 6 months ago

wrong I am sleeping with the husband

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 6 months ago

WHAT?! So am I!

[-] Fizz@lemmy.nz 4 points 6 months ago

Not even op because this joke has been posted 1000s of times by so many accounts.

[-] Fizz@lemmy.nz 3 points 6 months ago

Do you seriously think I'm trying to give relationship advice to the poster of this tweet?

[-] Mr_Dr_Oink@lemmy.world 14 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

Isn't it hard to say if the fun has been ruined? I would argue that being stuck on any particular part of a game is frustrating as fuck and i will eventually look for help online if im stuck for too long. I have more fun not beating my head against a wall, and frankly, when my wife shows an interest in my gaming, it's actually quite validating and makes me love her more.

I think that you are either a bit sour and are projecting or you are just trying to poke and get a response like a troll. Or something like that.

But i dont know. I just think your statement is invalid.

[-] Fizz@lemmy.nz 1 points 6 months ago

Of course it's hard to say because I don't know the person in question. My comment was not that serious nor had any sour intent. Just like you don't enjoy beating your head against a challenge there are plenty of people who are the opposite.

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 3 points 6 months ago

That would be maybe the last thing that would upset me about a relationship I was in.

It's not like she was sleeping around on him.

[-] Fizz@lemmy.nz 1 points 6 months ago

Nah its worse than being cheated on.

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 6 months ago

I think you're in the minority on that belief.

[-] Fizz@lemmy.nz 1 points 6 months ago

No I'm actually in the majority here. Most people would rather have their partner of 6 years cheat on them than have their partner give them game hints.

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 6 months ago

You're welcome to think so.

[-] z00s@lemmy.world 2 points 6 months ago

No way I'd think it was sweet as hell
