To be honest, ever since I started this community, I haven't had any arguments on 196, which had gotten to the point that the mods were sending me strongly worded messages. I also live as a gay man with a family of first-gen Mexican immigrants in a red state, so I post here mainly for my mental health.
I've also been mostly avoiding the politics communities on .world, which are extremely hostile to leftists and even progressives. I truly shouldn't have lashed out at you. I could have been more civil.

I thought this would be a better platform than reddit, politically, but in some ways it's worse because it's a smaller community and they are mostly liberals whose only real political concerns have to do with tech/privacy issues.
Mods deleted a "down with cis" comment I made due to it being hate speech ... I've been accused of making second accounts and being a propagandist multiple times just in a few days. The lack of political awareness would be appalling had I been born yesterday. It's honestly quite depressing and I think I'm going to move back to tiktok as my primary social media platform, it is the most leftist space I have seen. Unfortunately I'm not sure what will happen after the ban takes hold, or after a U.S. owned company takes control.

FYI the midwest.social admin (seahorse) is good, so you could try that instance if you're so inspired. It's focused on welcoming leftists from the midwestern US, but welcomes anyone.
I use tik tok too, but tumblr is my main thing, even though the tumblr CEOs are transphobic asshats. The users make up for it though. I just try to never contribute monetarily to the site itself.

Yeah, I just get alert over potentially misleading information so I wanted to look into it. Misinfo weakens our own arguments and isn't necessary when there is so much overwhelming evidence.
