Is that how much gas costs in the UK?
In pennies, yes - around £1.60 per litre.
It varies across regions but it's a pretty good indicator for 2026.

Damn, in the US we are freaking out about the average hitting $4 per gallon.
Yeah in fairness (and I'm not defending anybodies practices here, about 50 pence of that is fuel taxation, along with 20% on top.
The actual cost to the consumer of the fuel itself is probably "only" around 70p.
It's kinda fucked to be fair - I'm all for reducing our reliance on car transport but the interim step of EVs is getting hosed as well now.
If there's anything I know about fuel it's that 20 years ago it cost 80p for unleaded ;)
I remember back when I started to drive, it was just shy of 50p.
