It's more when looking to find memes to repost here from corpo platforms. I see so much 4tran brainrot nowadays on reddit that it feels like wading through shit just to find the content that used to be the norm. Backwards posts that would've been removed from the original r/traaaaaaaaans get left up on even the better trans communities.

Ultimately, the moderators of that subreddit were right about the effect the API scandal would have on the website. Moderators just can't do as good of a job at scale as they used to, and toxicity has been allowed to fester in the years that followed.

It's why I'm so grateful for the fediverse; it feels like the culture that got eroded away on corpo platforms can still exist. I'd go insane if I didn't have such a great place to fall back on, and I do everything I can to make sure the rot of the fascist controlled internet doesn't stick here. By only reposting the good stuff here, I can hopefully save people from needing to bother wading through that muck.
