One of my post-op trans friends is out there having one night stands and that makes me happy.

I'm very transphobic, can you please advise where exactly your friend looking for those "one night stands" so I wouldn't accidentally ran into her?

usually grindr, so stay off there ;)

I know a lot of transfem friends who use grindr and it perplexes me to no end - its an app primarily for gay men! Is it not endlessly dysphoric to put oneself in that situation? The people who are expressing attraction to one are likely attracted to one as a "twink" or "sissy" as opposed to "woman" >.<

I mean this with no malice or judgment, it just truly confuses me

there are twinks, sissies, crossdressers, enbies, and trans fems on there. theres also lots of chasers for sure. but for me at least im mostly looking for other trans fems on there, so i dont have to worry too much about being misgendered or anything. i mostly like it because theres way fewer barriers to talking to people so its much easier to connect with them if youre both interested.

ive found it so fucking hard to connect with people on other apps with how they dribble out people to swipe on and only let you talk to people youve matched with. even on apps that are supposedly queer friendly i just get fucking nothing, and im not gonna pay to get gaslit by some capitalist asshole who just wants my money and doesnt want me to connect with anyone. so mainly grindr is like the only app that even works for me.

Thanks for the insight!

If I may make an app recommendation, Lex has been an incredible way for me to meet wonderful queer people for all kinds of connection. Different kind of approach in that its a personals feed, but I feel like the connections made there are easier to make and more robust

well i made an account but im a bit disappointed so far. same ass dribble of potential partners unless you pay. just another fucking app that doesnt want you to meet people, just shell out money for false hope. capitalism fucking sucks.

Are you using the personals bit or are you using the tinder esque matching thing? The tinder esque matching thing is gross, but I hate that concept generally. The personals bit is the bit that matters, you can message anyone and anyone can message you. Just let people know what you're looking for, or check what people are posting about near you!

Never the one you're thinking of, though.
