And in another thread about this, someone is arguing that real women will be harmed by this and that trans women shouldn't get to be included.
They even wrapped it up in a barely disguised transphobic "this will harm the overall movement" bow.
I really enjoy seeing other countries succeed where my own has failed, and I mean that 100% genuinely. It reminds me that humanity isn't all shitty.
I am very happy with this outcome as well. This should be the final ruling on this case unless it is accepted by the high court (highest court of Australia, like supreme court), which is unlikely. That said, we aren't in the clear yet - all the major conservative parties and even the "left wing" state Labor government in NSW have pledged to amend the federal or local equivalent act to add back "biological" definitions of gender.
