I haven't used the chicken cutlett style inserts, but silicone breast forms are great for occasional use, especially with medical adhesive. The other option I've been using are knitted knockers, which if you know how to knit or crochet, you can make for the cost of materials. They're good for day to day use because they let your skin breathe. With strategic placement, they can give a bit of a push up effect too, but that only started working for me once I had enough boob to push up on.
This sounds like a great excuse to learn knitting, thanks for the tip!
I will say, try some cheap yarn rather than one from their recommended list if you want to try knit or crochet breast forms for the first pair. If you end up not liking them, you've spent less on yarn, and cheap yarn is generally bigger than what they recommend, so it will take less rows and less time. I only crochet, so I'm not sure if you can do this with the knitted ones because they have a nipple, and you probably don't want to look like your're storing a peanut m&m in there 😆
LMFAO!!!! I will definitely keep this in mind, I honestly don't think I'll be able to forget it!
