I have been told by this straight/bi girl who turned out to be quite racist (and homophobic, so she was likely but not definitely straight) so I stopped being her friend, but that’s beside the point, that “she was a lesbian too until she met her perfect boyfriend” and that I just hadn’t met my perfect guy yet. I am a lesbian. I’ve tried with guys and I only dated them because I felt bad for them and they seemed sweet.
