Handlers keeping him hidden like they did Biden. Dead or alive were still fucked, he's just a cog in the machine that will be replaced to keep the status quo protected and running
Exactly and it is so sad seeing people acting as if traditional political discourse is going to make things better. It's broken completely.
Sure then the cult will quietly assemble under that master smooth charismatic leader Steven Miller.
Unlike master smooth charismatic leader Donald Trump?
All he needs to do is slur some slurs and his base will eat it up. There's nothing fancy behind them, just a lack of humanity.
Yeah it’s a cult of personality. DeSantis wanted it but they said No.
Lindsey Graham thought he could weasel his way in, they laughed him out. Perjury Traitor Greed has all the credentials but, let’s be honest, she identifies as a woman, and they’re not electing that. Plus she’s plain old insane. He’s demented. It’s a fine but distinct line.
Desantis wears shoe inserts and graham is very clearly a closeted homosexual. Miller is hateful and patriotic and has the balls to atleast appear to be himself. That is all they like about trump aside from his illusion of wealth. "The way he just says what he means." It will either be miller or miller will continue to control from the background and let vance be the scapegoat for when things get ugly.
Stephen Miller can never fill Trump's shoes. Trump at least has charisma - he can charm and flatter people and keep a smile on his face. Miller is just hatred manifest, not to mention he exudes insecurity and he looks like a cartoon villain. Zero redeeming qualities. He has to stay in the background so people don't see the ugly face of their agenda.
He really doesn't
Charisma and daddy's money are the only reason he's where he is.
I fear the need for charism is no longer relevant. They have become a self sustaining hate machine with very little standing in their way.
I mean - no. I know, i know, but seriously. They don’t even like Steve Bourbon, and he’s tried to be in the media as much as possible. Plus Miller is. Y’know.
Let’s just say close but no cigar.
Bannon is a raging alcoholic that exudes Jabba the Hutt energy. I think of all of them, miller is the most immediately "effective". I think given vances early ties to the paypal mafia, he is next in line for puppet.
No way. Never. Not even if he sounded like Gilbert Gottfried.
Is this a reference? His character voice was annoying af.
i think you mean sexy
That genuinely made me laugh out loud. I also pictured gilbert trying to rizz up someone in a bar with the voice and nearly choked on my tea
oh you don't have to imagine
Yeah but if trump croaks, there will be a power vacuum, and these are the kinds of people who need someone to worship.
With any luck they’ll display all of the hatred and animosity that made them famous toward each other.
Y’know like the left does.
Hi-oooooooo!
Some of you really don't understand why Trump appeals to his base. Trump is entertaining to them. They find him charismatic and funny. They also like that he isn't polished and that he speaks his mind, but doesn't say anything overtly hateful, so they can pretend they're not bigots because they can pretend he's not a bigot. And in their minds he's a fighter with a macho aura.
Miller is a weird kid that eats glue and glowers, and you're pretty sure he hurts animals. He's not entertaining or funny or macho, and he probably makes the average Trump voter uncomfortable because he seems too overtly hateful and they like to pretend that they're not.
DeSantis was the RC Cola version of Trump. He wasn't entertaining, but he wasn't overtly hateful either. He seemed like a macho fighter at first. Then they all realized that he was kind of short (for a presidential candidate) and walked around in lifts because he was so insecure about it. He exudes desperation.
Vance is like DeSantis. The man wears eyeliner. The only reason he's VP is because Peter Thiel and the crypto bros put him there, and because Trump knew he wouldn't outshine him. He has exactly zero chance of taking up the cult leader mantle. He'd probably be able to hold things together until the end of the term, but no longer.
I don't get it but for whatever reason he has an enthusiastic following specific to him.
There are a number of races where people tried to ride his popularity, but unless Trump is directly in the race, it doesn't seem to matter so much.
He's the embodiment of their idea of the American dream. Born with a silver spoon in his mouth, accruing unlimited wealth and living a life with no accountability. They want to be him.
They don't want a world with no kings. They want to be king.
He's too close to the mothership. Vance will be president and ol Steve will continue avoiding UV light, where possible.
Yeah. But you mispronounced “Theil”.
I can already see Steve Miller having a makeover and charming the public with a nifty military uniform, nice arm band, a cool toothbrush moustache and a brand new ”undercut” style toupee
Sieg Heil, America - really speedrunning that ”fascist dictatorship” playthrough huh?
That’s more likely than him uniting the Evangelicals and the legacy republicans and the gravy seals.
If he keels over I'm still gonna get drunk with my mates though.
I was scrolling to find someone else thinking this. Its just a big show and they need peoples attention all the time. Last thing they want is to be ignored. So they say incredible stupid things all the time, daily.
