Very much agree. If we could snap our fingers and eliminate the military, I would. However, for as long as the military exists, it should be open to anyone. We shouldn’t give those who oppose us any ground uncontested.

I think it’s similar to women being priests in the Catholic Church. Would I prefer the Catholic Church cease to exist? Absolutely, and we’d be better off without any priests. But in the mean time, it would be a sign of progress if they stopped discriminating against women in that way.
