Did they misgender this person? I see a Ms Russell and a Mr Russell mentioned in the article. So either they go by any pronouns or it's 2 people or the person writing this sucks at their job.

The person they're referring to, Beyond Reflections' CEO Gillian Russell, is trans and uses they/she pronouns according to the charity website's about-us page.
The BBC article has no "by" line, so it can't be attributed to any specific author. There's one reference to a “Mr Russell”, yet the article otherwise uses "Ms" and "she" when referring to them.

Not surprising considering the BBC is well known for being transphobic, all mainstream news in the UK is. However, the BBC is one of the worst.
