All right you can spend the next 4 years blaming the left.

In the meantime I'm just going to remind you that in 2016 a populist left-wing candidate ran a very good primary without any corporate donations. Leftist policies and platforms are popular. And giving people the choice between center right and far-right doesn't motivate voters.

Politicians don’t cater to groups that don’t vote.

Nah, they just cater to their corporate donors and folks that would never vote for them. Sliding more right every year and expecting everyone to hold their nose.

And then you want to blame leftists, when this is an alt account my main is on hexbear. Most real leftists I talk to voted for Harris. Because we're not idiots.

But keep blaming us that the Democrats ran a shit campaign chasing Republican voters and corporate campaign dollars, while neglecting to get their base off the couch.

I voted for Harris. I'm scared shitless because I'm a trans woman

And I'm really fucking tired of posters on Lemmy blaming the left for not voting for more genocide and more center right politics from the Democrats.

If the Democrats want leftists to vote for them, they can start running on leftist policies and start running leftist politicians. Instead of running center right politicians on center right platforms.

They need to fire up the voters so that people want to vote for them. Instead their whole game is be scared if we lose. And blame voters for our loss.

It doesn't inspire confidence and neither has the last two months since the election.

And comments like you post, that are just parroting the Democrats platform of blaming their voter base, when they don't know how to inspire that base...

It's getting old. And judging by all the downvotes on you're comment, I guess it's getting old for a lot of other people too.

Wasn't it also Martin Luther King Jr Day?

They definitely feed on each other.

And profit is based on the idea that I deserve more than other people do. Again hubris.

I've been meditating on this stuff and studying Buddhism for almost a decade. Pride is the root of a lot of dysfunction in our species.

And greed is based in hubris. Thinking that the individual is better than everyone else and needs more than others do.

Pride / hubris is the root of a lot of dysfunction. Greed is one of its daughters.

Well that's what Trump is trying to do so.

I guess you and the fascist are getting your wish.

Seriously though, gender is older than Homo sapiens. It's about division of reproductive labor and the classes that humans form around that

The gender binary needs to go. Gender inequality needs to go. But people are going to have gender as long as we have class distinctions and we are a long way from outgrowing that.

Yes, I literally feel the pain of others. Not as though it happened to me but enough to wince if I see most animals get hurt (aside from insects).

I'm more sensitive than normal though. Hyper-awareness from abuse. It's also isolating and lonely, even though I'm not on the spectrum.

They voted to hurt me. If they hurt themselves in the process, I'm allowed to enjoy it.

Assuming you're asking in good faith, the code is here.

https://digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/en/policies/code-practice-disinformation

Paid fact-checkers spread across all member states.

"The new Code will extend fact-checking coverage across all EU Member States and languages and ensure that platforms will make a more consistent use of fact-checking on their services. Moreover, the Code works towards ensuring fair financial contributions for fact-checkers' work and better access to fact-checkers to information facilitating their daily work."

Essentially, everything will have Snopes attached to it. Including political ads and other forms of advertising. As well as more blatant propaganda.

Gaslighting LGBTQ folks. Misogynistic stances towards women. Nationalist stances towards immigration.

Seems far-right to me.

If you have a good faith argument as to how that's not Nazi shit other than, 'DEI hires are woke', I'd love to hear it. Because it seems like you based your whole argument on a very narrow understanding of the situation.
