I mean yeah they shouldn't get involved in that. Just let the law deal with the people buying things that would be illegal. And this is also why cash and crypto (for online purchases) are the best way to buy things. Credit card companies should have no say in what people buy.

All it really does is prioritize herd mentality though, like if you don't think like the others then you get downvoted and your comment hidden. I think this is just bad and was the main thing I hated about reddit.

You can just say it instead.

While I think lemmy is great compared to reddit I still don't like the whole upvote and downvote system. As it's mostly based on people who agree with something and they will downvote you if they disagree with you. There should just be commends and replies to comments imo. At least downvoted posts don't get hidden from view I guess.

I understand why those people were unhappy about all the covid restrictions but yeah I know that the organizers were racist and that makes the whole thing questionable at best.

If they think that will make more people support the conservatives they are very wrong, if anything it will do the opposite.

Well, all communist countries have banned porn too. I think you're getting somewhere now. I don't like capitalism either because of its exploitative nature. Pornography is just harmful to society.

This is why we should all do the minimum to keep our job and not give our best. After all when you get paid minimum wage they shouldn't expect you to work at your maximum. I remember at my job even after 2 years working there, when the minimum wage got up they didn't raise my salary but just put me at the new minimum wage because it got raised a bit higher than the salary I was making and the new employee with no experience, literally his first job ever gets paid the same as me. And it was at this moment I stopped giving it my best.

It is unhealthy. Not only does it make it so people have unrealistic expectation in bed (due to watching porn and thinking it should be the same) but also there are always victims in porn and the porn industry is full of human trafficking and minors showing up in porn is not uncommon on porn sites. It's just damaging to society and no, pleasure is not objectively a good thing. Just because something gives one pleasure doesn't make it good or even healthy. Life is not all about hedonism.

Correlation does not equal causation. Also if you really think women undressing and doing porn for the pleasure of the men is somehow liberating of makes them free, I don't think you actually care about women as people. So many of them end up doing this kind of thing because they need money and stuff and never wanted to do it in the first place.

Porn is definitely unhealthy so probably a good thing they got that on steam now? Though that still won't stop people from going to other sites to get porn games. I wouldn't go as far as calling them pedos though, porn addiction doesn't make one a pedo. It does make them sad and lonely though.

Yeah they aren't doing much to protect them.
