The green washing has also put me off the sport after 26 years. That and the Americanisation/enshitification of the show.

Knowing this is a volunteer project, I'd never request renumeration. If I were contracting with a large company, I guess I'd charge 300-500 per day. That's just based on quotes I get on LinkedIn, as I've never worked as a contractor. Also I couldn't have it interfere with my main job, where I'm also on call, so it would be lower priority.

I have the experience, but not the energy nor passion as I am almost burned out already. I hope you find some awesome people.

How's it tinfoil hat? It's very clear how much tracking is going on if you don't subscribe. None of this stuff is made up.

It's more like blackmail tbh. "Pay or i'll track the shit out of you and sell the data to advertisers". I can see why people are put off, and I am also. And what's the guarantee if we pay that the data isn't collected and sold anyway?

If you have to tell somebody you're the alpha, then you're definitely not the alpha.

I'd love to see recruiters who recruit in their free time, or surgeons who perform surgery in their free time.

Nope, especially since it's the biggest contributor to it.

I used to be a techy cat person, and then I got a dog. Now I'm a techy dog person.

Meta needs to be split up at this point, as do many other tech companies.

I think his days of pretending to be a good guy are over.

No, nor do I think they should be. There will be millions of wasted taxpayer dollars wasted on trying to recover rich people's dead bodies. They signed a waiver and knew what they were getting into. There's nothing to be learned from whatever happened, since the company was clearly negligent. Let them rest on the ocean floor beside the other rich assholes.
