It would be easier to list the things she didn’t do.

Long and short, screwed over a lot of minorities, oversaw a lot of violent conflicts, and reshaped the UK economy and government to benefit the financial sector and ultra wealthy at the expense of everyone else.

“colors running” is an issue with dyes or paint not staying where it supposed to on something, so like washing a piece of clothing and the colors fading or staining some other part. Originally it references paint “running” off something in small streams, like if you applied to much. Running being a word commonly used to describe the flow of a stream or river, so if paint is coming off something in small streams, it would be described as “running”.

“The colors” also being a euphemism for a flag or standard on a battlefield, historically formations on a battlefield having a flag that would act as a clear point to focus around during the chaos of a battle, hence the saying “rally around the colors” meaning “ find the flag of the unit and defend it, if you don’t know what to do”.

So shirts with a flag that say “these colors don’t run”. it’s a double entendre, saying that “those that this flag stands for will not run away from a fight” and that “the dye on this clothing will not get distorted”.

In the context of a trans flag, it is a parody of vocally/excessively patriotic people who would wear an American flag shirt with that saying on it.

It’s not for game developers, it’s to convince capital that they should keep funding Microsoft’s data center expansions. Keep funding the methane companies that provide the power for them.

Offer a better service for a better price.

Streaming services don’t sell content, they sell convenient access to content, and it’s been getting less convenient as time goes on. So less people feel like it’s worth paying them.

“ No you don’t understand it will improve user experience!”

We’ll i’m a users and it’s not improving my experience.

“Noooo it’s intuitive and more human way to interface!”

I’m sorry but I don’t find it intuitive to have to speak in riddles and hypotheticals to convince the search engine that it should tell me something.

“Ok but these are just teething issues the tech will improve over time.”

Then put it back in the fucking oven because it ain’t ready yet. Stop forcing me to participate in this shitty alpha. If you can’t improve this any further without public trials then I’m pretty sure it will never be a viable technology in the roles it’s being forced in to.

to be clear on the “3d printed guns explode after 3 shots” thing.

It depends. If it’s 100% 3d printed parts, including bolt/slide and barrel, then yah, a few shots is the most you’d get out of it.

But most “3d printed guns” are using off the shelf barrels and bolts/slides, parts that are usually not registered and tracked. The parts that are register and tracked are usually the parts that hold trigger assemblies and grips, things that can be made of plastic since they’re not directly handling the stress of firing.

So the fact that the gun (the suspect was arrested with) is intact doesn’t mean it was never used. It also doesn’t mean it was definitely the gun used.

The situation still seems weird, but, we’ll see what the different parties have to say on the matter when they go to trial.

Oh, yah, it was developed by their medical equipment division. Also patented as a massager and was registered with the FDA as such. Then people realized what else it could do.

The really funny part is that hitachi’s main business is heavy industry stuff; power plants, cranes, electrical infrastructure, jet fighters, trains, semiconductors, all sorts of stuff. But everyone knows them for that one time they made a massager that everyone uses as a sex toy.

I mean, he knows how to gut things he doesn’t think are important.

That’s not efficiency, that’s just doing less stuff. Efficiency is when you do the same stuff but with lower cost and the same outcomes. That’s not what musk does.

Hell, doesn’t really work in temperate zones ether to be honest. It gets common house/yard plants well but if you go into actual wild-ish areas it will give you 5 different answers from five different angles of the same plant.

Here we are original.

Here we are creative.

They do work, but are basically worse in every way.

Bearings are really impressive pieces of engineering that require really tight tolerances to reduce wear and friction. On a traditional bike you have a small bearing at the center that is a standard mass manufactured commodity part.

On these they’re turning the whole wheel in to a giant speciality bearing. It has to spin faster, has to deal with force being applied to a small section rather than the whole bearing, and has way more surface area where dirt could get in and grind against the surfaces.

So these are more expensive, way heavier, higher friction, less reliable, harder to repair, and faster to wear out.

But they look futuristic don’t they?
