Mark has always been icky for me. I watch these kinds of videos almost excellently - the science-tech ones; yet I avoid him like the plague.

"AI" researcher here. The only reason there are models that can "write" and "create art" is because that data is available for training. Basically people put massive amounts of digital text and images on the Internet and the companies scraped all of it to train the models. If there were big enough datasets for ship building, that would happen too...

He has so much money that he can keep doing it. And hire the best in the field - there's no money in academia so of course they'll go. And then he'll take credit for their hard work eventually of course.

Do people think this is new? We have been able to do this for decades. I'm a lowly PhD student and even I get to work with humans whose brains we are actively recording from (although I don't put the electrodes in there myself).

Just another instance of Muskrat talking about things he doesn't know. I used to think he was a genius when he was talking about rockets, then he started talking about things I know (neuro & AI)...

Worked on me OP 👍 (I'm easily swayed and have no convictions)

Why wasn't he protected as a whistleblower? Or why isn't Biden pardoning him?

Imagine after all the brazen crimes Gaetz has done, the thing that brings him down is calling for diversity LMAO

Copying my comment from another post before I saw they vetoed -

UNSC is undemocratic, not reflective of the world (no Germany, Japan, India, Brazil, any in Africa etc) and has only served the interests of few (with freaking veto powers) - it needs to be retired or majorly revamped. Or we will keep getting crap like this.

IDK, both can be true. Teens might be right in saying something and tiktok might be amplifying that kind of content because it helps China geopolitically. A highly upvoted post on Lemmy literally yesterday was this - https://www.cnn.com/2023/11/13/us/china-online-disinformation-invs/index.html
