If they are genuinely stating months as a realistic timeframe then they either know nothing or are fully aware and this is a deliberate killshot.

Spez: "Daddy Elon wants me to get rid of all the twitter critical and trans related subs. How can I do it without it being too obvious?"

Snoo Lackey: "Easy. What we'll do is ban a load of morally grey subs like porn and drug related ones along with the twitter critical and trans ones. Then, when the predictable uproar kicks off, we'll wait awhile then announce it was all a terrible mistake and we'll reactivate all the porn ones. We just won't reactivate the twitter critical or trans ones. Because lets be honest - no one really cares and as long as the simpletons have their wank bank back, they'll neither notice nor care either!"

Spez: "Brilliant!"

They are not TST-affiliated, more like an old style LaVeyan group.

The Satanic org I'm a member of also have a Chilean Order and I know the two orgs have talked but their LaVeyan-ism (i.e. libertarian/Ayn Rand type of Objectivism) doesn't really align with us.

Bandcamp is still OK for me and I listen to some fairly obscure stuff.

Just to offer a heads up - there's a new solution/site which is currently in Beta but is backed by good people (musicians). It needs an influx of music diversity (lots of metal at the moment) but if it gets that when it comes out of beta then it could very well be a good Bandcamp replacament - Ampwall

It is worth noting though, that Proton doesn't allow you to use certain domains for recovery addresses. Admittedly this was awhile ago and maybe things have changed there but when I first joined Proton they wouldn't allow me to set a duck.com or simplelogin.com or addy.io address as a recovery email.

Obviously using an apple ID is stupid but Proton could make more of an effort too.

Why on earth are we still paying attention to this idiot and treating her opinions as if they are worthy of consideration?

The last five years have marked a great number of achievements for which we feel justifiable pride.

A few highlights among them:

  • we featured in documentaries for major networks including Netflix and Vice
  • we made national TV news in Poland for our anti-homophobia Black Mass
  • our ongoing Bloody Hell! campaign has to date donated hundreds of pounds of sanitary supplies to local food banks
  • we successfully campaigned for Satanism to be recognised as a major alternative religion in the 2021 UK census, and as one of the fastest-growing
  • we made the right-wing Mail Online retract inaccurate statements against us and pay out for unauthorised use of our media — and then donated their money to charities supporting trans youths and opposing discrimination
  • we were featured in national UK news outlets as the face of growing Modern Rational Satanism; these reports were then picked up in alarm by US media
  • worked with the Discovery media network to provide a genuine Satanic voice to their programming

Most importantly, we have built a strong community of motivated, principled Satanists in our network of Orders across the globe: committed to upholding the moral standard set by our Pillars and acting to oppose the many abuses of hierarchical religious oppression wherever we encounter them.

We thank all our members and allies for their dedication, hard work and support over the last five years — and look forward with excitement to what we will accomplish together in future.

Thanks to you all and, as always, Hail Satan!

From the article:

"In a sermon titled ‘Submit and Love’, Reverend Chris Demetriou told worshippers that a wife “should submit to her husband’s leadership” because “that’s the Lord’s pattern for us”. He added marriage with a wife at the head “will not reach its full potential” - instead, women should be subservient women and duly submit to their husbands “out of obedience to Christ”."

None of us should be surprised that this is what Christians think. So why is it news? The Church is a charity and in the UK charities have to behave in a certain way - they have a responsibility in other words - and if they break that then the regulator (the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator in this case) can and should get involved.

Alejandro Sanchez of the National Secular Society is quoted as saying:

"Mr Demetriou’s vision of a world of female subservience is straight out of The Handmaid’s Tale. It is misogyny like this that underpins the abuse and coercive control of women, which the Scottish government says it is committed to ending....In return for generous tax breaks, charities are meant to provide a public benefit and not cause likely detriment or harm. If ‘the advancement of religion’ enables charities to promote misogyny with impunity, it should be removed from the register of charitable purposes.”

He's absolutely right. This is 2024 not 1824. Some christian misogynist telling his flock to subjugate women never had a place, but even less so at a time when christianity is no longer a majority belief in the UK.

Comedy videos for metal songs don't always hit the mark but this is great. So good in fact that Dying Fetus shared it on their FB Page.

"Speaking to Russian TV in an on-camera interview on Wednesday, Mr Putin said Mr Biden's leadership would be better for Russia because he was a "more experienced person, he is predictable, he is a politician of the old formation"."

I prefer my Satanism without the Ayn Rand inspired 'Might Is Right'-ism, thanks.

I'm talking about lots of chants, pounding/tribal/ritualistic beats, slow stuff like Devadevam by Rotting Christ or Khetti Satha Shemsu by Nile.

A week or so ago, a blog post was posted in this Community calling out Mullvad for using GMail as their email provider. Wasn't the greatest blog post in the world and didn't approach Mullvad for comment or explanation. Anyway, looks like Mullvad heard about it and responded.

More like fascist-adjacent. And we started the process of underdeveloping ourselves when the fascist-adjacent leaders persuaded the terminally ignorant that Brexit would be great when it was obvious it was going to lead exactly where it is leading right now.

"Protesters who wear masks could face arrest, up to a month in jail and a £1,000 fine under proposed measures that human rights campaigners claim are pandering to “culture war nonsense”.

Police in England and Wales will be given the power to arrest people if they are wearing face coverings at specific demonstrations, the Home Office has said."

Been a bad 18 months or so for privacy in the UK. Online Safety Bill passed, the right to take strike action curtailed, people in receipt of benefits (including disabled people) will soon (as from 2025) have their bank accounts open to the government, the right to protest curtailed and now this.

Not really. Disagreement, even angry disagreement, but only hexbear did I find truly toxic.

Conversely, I had to use reddit recently (to find an old post) and I don't know if its because I haven't been there for months and I'd forgotten how bad it is or if it is actually worse but fucking hell it was like a war zone.

So, that blog post is by Tutanota who, as we're all aware, also offer a paid-for product. But there's a lot of difference between a paid-for product that will only respect your privacy if you pay for it (and even that is questionable) and a paid-for product that just does respect your privacy, even on their free tier.

And, as others have said, Meta have made little to no mention of several things about this paid-for model:

  1. What about all the tracking that Meta do on non-Meta sites?
  2. On Meta sites, there's very little mention of them not tracking you anymore - they're just saying (as far as I can see) that they're not going to serve you personalised ads anymore.
  3. The pricing Meta are going to charge is clearly meant to deter people from taking the ad-free model up.
