Credit card usually isn't so bad. It's usually pretty easy to dispute charges etc, debit card on the other hand...no way that's getting saved

They are saying the return to office mandate will cause the best performers (who are likely more confident in securing another job) to quit first, not that everyone shouldn't be WFH.

I took my current gf and my parents to a nice restaurant last night. She mentioned she'd only been there once before, on a date, and that the only reason they went to that restaurant (very $$$) is because he had a gift card and was going to cover the meal. Orders all kinds of expensive stuff. The bill comes and then supposedly he realizes his gift card, if it actually existed in the first place, was for a different restaurant. She ended up having to pay on her CC because he had no other forms of payment. Obviously didn't work out for him in the end.

Armed to deter cops actually sounds like a viable plan in Texas after what we saw at Uvalde

Freezing bread is much more effective and it comes right back to life after a bit of heating. Refrigerating it just dries it out imo.

Just stop buying phones from carriers and you never have to worry about this. If you like a phone, buy it unlocked straight from the manufacturer and do whatever you want with it. Most offer payment plans, and if not you can always use klarna or a credit card with no interest to make payments on it.

I'm gonna disagree. Cheap nonstick pans are horrible and just contribute to unnecessary waste plus you have no idea what's in that coating. Carbon steel or cast iron, when properly seasoned, are just as non stick as a "non stick" coated pan and will literally last forever. They're also WAY more useful than a nonstick since you can use them with almost any heat source and any temperature.

There's a tool for making bootable windows USB drives called Rufus that gives you options to remove things like requiring a Windows account, TPM requirement for Windows 11, secure boot, etc when you're cloning the iso to the USB drive.

I was so happy when we finally got a 2nd internet provider where I live. Now both providers offer steep discounts to keep customers. I upgraded my 450mpbs coax connection to 1gbps fiber when the new ISP came to town. My promotional period just ran out, so I called the ISP. They set me up with a new promotion for 2gbps at less than the price I was paying for 1gbps, and at the end of the promotional period it'll be the same price I was paying for the 1gbps service. Competition ftw!
