Also public figures have to prove "actual malice" in a defamation or libel case. Actual malice is an incredibly hard thing to prove.

one of the main reasons I used third party apps on reddit is the ease of blocking subs I didn't want to see. As it stands, blocking instances on connect is clunky and a pain in the ass.
