This was years ago, but I was driving around listening to music with my windows down and a couple guys in a van pulled up next to me and asked if I wanted a deal on stereo equipment. Being the naive idiot I was I followed them into a parking lot.

They claimed to be home stereo installers and had accidentally received two premium stereos for a customer order instead of one. They wanted to get rid of the second one for beer money and asked for like $200. They had a magazine that showed the stereo was worth several thousand and I thought I might make a quick buck by reselling it to a pawn shop or online.

I didn't have $200 but I had overdraft protection so I thought I would pull that money out anyway and pay it back once I had sold the stereo. The guy at the pawnshop was the one who told me I got scammed and I have never felt more embarrassed.

Realistically, no. You need luck more than anything.

Besides, what value does telling him that have?

Billionaire "genius" unaware that to find leaks you tell different people different things and see what gets out.

I wonder if you could buy it and flash some other OS on it or if it has hardware level spying stuff.

I wish I had more upvotes for you. Thank you for the clarification. I'll edit my post to reflect that so as not to accidentally spread misinformation

I've been wondering if the war in Ukraine might count as a proxy war between the US and China (who has helped bankroll the conflict)

I accept my responsibility in how things have turned out. I would feel absolutely horrible and would be wrought with guilt for my entire life if it had come down to a single vote, but I would not have voted for either Kamala or Trump even if I had gone to the polls.

I understand that makes me responsible in a very small way for Trump winning and I don't like it, but I accept that. It was a risk I was willing to take in February when I decided not to vote.

Gaza wasn't why I decided not to vote at all, the disconnect between voter and politician and the way queer issues were completely abandoned this election were why I didn't vote. If Kamala had said she would end our alliance with Israel if they didn't stop killing civilians she still wouldn't have gotten my vote because I wasn't casting one to begin with.

Melissa McCarthy, she has a good sense of humor which is great because my life is kind of a joke.

What's going on with the stuff in the sky above the traffic jam?

Lemmy still has a lot of problems reddit does, just smaller and weirder. It's probably not possible to create a "perfect" social media platform, but there still seems like room for a new type of social network that's federated but isn't a clone of something else.

RSS won't solve OP's problem. Most sites have a single feed with all their articles, if they have an rss feed at all (can't sell ads in an rss feed).

Aside from maybe just the raw AP feed (which is free through their app) I'm not sure any modern news room just publishes the type of feed OP might be looking for.
