What's everyone reading and writing this weekend? I'm still taking things slowly, but I'm continuing to get a little written everyday. I've also been trying to read more Hazbin Hotel comics, not on Youtube, but everywhere wants an account these days and I don't have the spoons.

How is your fandom intake this week? What are your plans for this weekend? I'm doing the same as before, keeping up with the stories I want to be writing while navigating pesky real life.

I have accomplished one full week of Femslash Feb, so success on that front!

I used to believe everyone did, but I know better. Some people don't like it from people they don't know. Others don't like receiving it from anyone at all. What do you think about it?

I personally like writing giftfic. I don't do it all the time, because if I did I would never write the stuff I like the most (as no one else writes the stories I really want). But how happy people have been when I have? Has always made it worth it.

Receiving it is always nice too. Especially when people have made the effort to write the specific tropes/pairings/whatever I love. After all, most of them are rare. It's always appreciated.

4.) INFRARED CAPABILITIES

4.1) There are 3 modes: battle, team up, and breeding.

4.2) BATTLE MODE
the sword picture is attack.
the shoes are retreat.
the star is a single strike(?).

A roulette will appear. Then these pictures will give you different strengths:
the sword increases attack
the shoes increases evasion
the star increases attack slightly, but also increases the single strike chance

When fighting others in infrared, shaking the cube increases the roulette value(?) and the winner will receive big rewards. The loser has EXP deducted.

At 0 HP, a pet cannot be sent out. You have to shake the cube to revive them.

4.3) TEAM MODE

(1) A team has a maximum of three pets, one of which is from the device. The other two need to come from other methods of obtaining.
(2) There are three positions in battle. Black is the current position and white is the next.
(3) The first one must be from your own device. The the other two are from connections. (TN: Basically, ask others for help.)
(4) Once you select the black box you will see two words: check status or leave party. Check status = HP, attack, condition, etc. Leave party = leave the team.

Note: Supporting animals in battle will leave after the battle ends, Supporting animals at 0 cannot provide support. As they are dead.

4.4) PET SUPPORT

(1) Using a connection, the pet will be delivered to another device to support them in battle. You will use all your EN for this and a successful transfer will give you 200 XP.
5.) VICTORY PAGE

5.1) There are different images for different attributes classification.

The 6 are (from left to right, top to bottom):
Ice, Grass, Fire, Dragon, Electric, Water

5.2) Defeated pets, or pets that you already have, are the only ones recorded in the Book of Attainment, Question marks mean you have never encountered this animal before. (TN: Transferred pets are not recorded.)

6.) DICE MODE

(1) Dice mode only works offline. Press B to spin the roulette. When the device shakes and you hear a sound, the roulette has officially stopped.
(2) Press B again to spin the roulette. Pressing C while the roulette has stopped allows you to quit this mode.

7. STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE(?)

(1) In standard procedure, press B to enter the "switch pets mode". Press A to select and B to confirm the selection.
(2) Question mark means you have not seen this pet before and cannot switch.
(3) In standard procedure, shake the cube to enter the status interface, you can see the current EXP, HP, and EN.
(4) Every shake of the cube adds 1 EXP and also recovers a bit of HP and Attack.

What do you like to do with them? Some people ignore them entirely. I personally love to build a reason why the plot hole exists. Building onto the world and setting in the background to make sense of everything. What about you?

Forgetting tags for a moment: if you are already searching in your fandoms/pairings/favourite tags, what in a summary will cause you to click it over any other story?

It is November? Are we writing? Drawing? Reading?

For me, NaNo has started, but I'm also busy with a lot of other things which means I'm not doing as much writing until the latter half of the month. So this weekend will have a little writing, but unfortunately not a lot of other fandom things.

7. When discussing specific fandom terms, try to be as inclusive as possible! This includes explaining or linking to an explanation of tropes some people might not be as familiar with the name of, or writing out the full name of your fandom before you use any abbreviations.

Update July 15th 2023: These rules are to be applied to the Threads section of this magazine. The Microblog section automatically pulls inposts with #fanfiction. Only rules one and three will be enforced there. So look and click on anything there at your own risk!
