I think I get what the message is trying to convey but fucking hell! It's OK to feel good in spite of the world being unjust and cruel. It's a sign of your resilience. It's also OK to feel deeply depressed about it. It's a sign of your awareness and compassion. The only thing you shouldn't be proud of is if you feel good because the world is unjust and cruel.

I was WAY more grumpy as a believer. Whoever wrote this probably pisses off all the atheists around them because they don't know how to treat them.

Conspiracies and conspiracy theories are two very different things. The reason people scoff at conspiracy theories is because they are often times wrong and/or vague. How many *verified conspiracies actually started as a 'conspiracy theory'.

As a gay man who passes as straight, you can get a lot of gal pals just by treating women as friends instead of potential partners. A lot of women don't really need a relationship, they just want a friendship.

The more I learn about the Frank Herbert novels, the more I realize how prescient and relevant they are to this day.
