Not sure how you get this from erotador's post. It was more about how people have fantasies that don't take into account the autonomy of others, just assuming x type of person would automatically be them. There aren't any real immortal beings, but there are social groups that get fetishized based on their identity. It's not being into a type of person that's the problem, but ignoring that the person themselves need to choose you.
All this said, I do love your post! Things are rarely ever truly hopeless, so we might as well keep fighting to spite the forces that say we should die.

It really is that they're allergic to rocking the boat, even if the boat is sinking and people will die if we don't evacuate asap. If liberals knew their democracy was dead, they'd actually turn to proper strategies of resistance quicker. Unfortunately, Democrats don't want shareholders to be in any way displeased.
I'm only surprised they didn't:
A. Turn it into some sort of conversion therapy scheme, or...
B. Shut it down on day one.
