I am revisiting Medievil II for the PS1 and going through it, but I really recall not having liked the sequel. I was okay with the story, which did make comprehensible sense given the time going forward, someone ending up with the pages of Zarok's spellbook and all. It's just a rehash of the first game, just time going forward.

Some of the bosses you got to fight were okay, but a lot of them weren't memorable. It was cool to fight Jack the Ripper in that game and they made him creepy as hell. The levels were annoying and were poorly planned. Winston the Ghost was like Navi to me in that game, but only more bearable because you can skip his ass a lot of the time.

The weapons aren't that fun to use, only glad they kept the crossbows and a sword, I guess. The cane you get is arguably the worst of them. The characters introduced were forgettable. I mean, I'm finding more setbacks with the sequel than there is to like and I'm struggling.

The original game was more fun with its dark gothic fantasy setting, you went off to some area to get your upgrades and you met characters whose weapons they specialized in which was cool. The talking gargoyle heads had wit to them and I always talked to them wherever they were, loved the voice acting.

The first game was remade twice probably for good reason. Although I probably would have wished that the sequel would've been given a remake of its own, just to see what would be taken out and what it'd be replaced with. It probably would've been better in that exchange.

I get that part and everyone did speculate that months and weeks before we got the price reveal. It's just, why would someone ignore the market of PC components then expect Valve to be the difference maker? But, that didn't matter because "valve made it, so I buy, just like I do when I buy games I won't play from their holiday sales :B"

Retards with too much time on their hands. I'm not surprised a handful of them are from .world, sh.it.justworks, blahj zone and all of them. They seem to harbor some pretty antagonizing people with no hobbies, goals, or anything. They think they can just trudge into posts to flex their degenerative aura.

People were highly anticipating a machine from Valve that was affordable, flexible, versatile and able to give mid-range to higher-mid-range PCs a run for their money that you had to build.

I remember arguing with someone on a discord channel about its pricing. He was adamant that the price was going to be around $500 ~ $600 to keep the competition. I kept arguing back that with the prices about where hardware has gone for PCs that it will be more pricier. He was $400 off and there are people like him out there, who're that gullible to believe Valve is on their side.

Gamers in general are known to be gullible. Buying a Steam Machine at $1,000 because it was made by Valve, proves this. I would argue that Valve should've just have upgraded the Steam Deck and I find that a far more worthwhile device.

Man, the trolls are coming out in droves today and there's no particular reason as to what triggered them either. You must not have a lot going for you, do you?

[-] Soulinyx@piefed.world 2 points 5 hours ago

I'm not giving the answer but I'm surprised honestly that I was actually wrong here.

Grasping for straws to troll, are we?

It's a damn shame that GOG didn't go out of their way to pick up both of these games. They were some of the first of their kind.

Robot Arena 2

Because I don't think it's either Battle Bots or Robot Wars. It's just that scythe looking hook thing looks familiar from somewhere in a game like this.

Man, they made this sound as generically as 'fuck you, shit happens, oh well' as they come.

I'm a homebody, I'd be the most boring person to watch.

"Oh! He moved from the chair infront of his computer to the bed! Oh! He's off to fix some food and now is back on the chair infront of the computer!" And it'll be like hours upon hours like that. I live routinely so it'd be predictably boring.

[-] Soulinyx@piefed.world 2 points 8 hours ago

Yeah, more likely. You mention 'chinese' and that threw a red flag. Anything from there, particularly when it comes to electronics and computer components, should always be a high concern.

Not really. Bad drivers have always been a thing, some areas are just worse than others.

Block-Swiping.

Block Swiping is when someone knowingly antagonizes you or wants their 'final word' in before blocking you. This is just an elevated flame bait tactic to instigate someone into chasing that user up until they get banned. I find that this kind of behavior is counter-productive to having decent engagements online in general. You should be banned for this because all that this does is just fuel more drama.

Sponsors and advertisements in emails. We are in an age now where, advertisers must reach us through the very things we send email with. Because spam simply isn't enough.

Right now I am attempting to detox or strictly limit online activity by disconnecting my Internet for 2 whole months. I have downloaded what I could to pad the time and have gotten around more to do things I kept putting off.

So far, what I am not liking about it, is that the only way I have internet now is mobile since my phone has a plan. I. hate. the. mobile. experience. There is a reason I have always treated all of my phones as just communication devices as meant to be and not just for browsing.

The keyboard interface sucks, keys are too close which are prone for you to make many typing mistakes unless you have autocorrect. And we all know how autocorrect can be. Sometimes things will randomly zip you away from what you are doing like, in the middle of making this, something made my browser get yanked down and I was on the home screen.

Most if not all UIs for websites are shit in mobile. If things act up, welp! You are in for a world of frustration! Being on mobile is really like you are going down a narrow corridor, just trying to get to places and do things. But for every few paces, you have a series of booby traps to deal with and they all fuck you up and leave you pissed off as you try resuming. It's a fucking trap in of itself.

The plus side of no net? Keeps the social media noise down.

So, here is why I ask such a question. I haven't been on reddit in 4 total years. 4 years since my last memorized banning site wide. I was a ban on sight user because any and every time I made an account, I was banned in minutes.

And the reasons why I was banned is varied but the common theme was, flame baiting, block swiping users making my experience miserable while dumping all over all of my posts. And since I wasn't one to take it up the ass, I retaliated and after many skirmishes, I got banned permanently.

But about a month ago, I registered just out of the blue and was amazed that I was not banned right away. I lasted a whole week and still continued. I used the same email. My IP hasn't changed. No VPN. Nothing.

So it made me wonder if they are letting off a little on shadow banning. Not that it makes a difference because Christ, the experience on reddit nowadays is ten times shittier than I remembered it. Repeated posts, even more stingier post requirements, stingier mods and the users are stupider.

I love Super Mario RPG but when you get to the Moleville part of the map, it feels like the game hits a stalling grind. Like it is to me, the dragging part of the game. Because you got to deal with the annoying enemies and bosses there. I don't like dealing with Booster. I don't like Booster's Tower.

Moleville is just okay but I don't like reaching this part of the game. At least things pick up afterwards.
