Lol nvidia CEO couldn't do my job for an hour.

I am absolutely confident that I could do his job for an hour.

The empty chair in his office does his job just as easily, too.

You can tell me all about the meetings and deals they have to worry about but ultimately, by the time a company gets that large, it could run itself without a c-suite for quite some time.

My brother in law, without skipping a beat: "obviously he meant Micronesia"

My reply, apparently not enough to get a response: "So you're okay with a president who's so cognitively vacant he can't tell the difference between two very different sounding words?"

Not once in my enlistment, such as it was, did I question what was in the pants of fellow service members.

Nor did I question their capabilities when they were needed.

Because I'm not an insecure idiot with the maturity of a child.

Every single fucking time: THIS IS THE FUTURE UNDER COMMUSOCIALMARXISM!

endless pictures of current capitalism conditions, usually centered around homeless people

Yeah, it sure is a good thing we have capitalism to make sure that every person is taken care of and nobody gets fed to the orphan grinding machine.

See, he ASSUMES there's "no way to win" and that this judge will always, regardless of anything else, strike down things because they're "against republicans/trump/whoever"

Why?

Because that's exactly what they would do, are doing, plan to do in the future, and can't imagine a world where someone else isn't just as shitty as they are.

Projection. Insecurity.

I mean, there's no way to win, but that's because this is one of those things that can't be ignored and absolutely should result in consequences. I'm not hopeful that real consequences will be had though.

My mother in law is absolutely convinced that democrats are going to go marching around with guns to drag her and her family out into the street to be executed.

If she realized there was still space to the left of "Democrat" on the politician field she'd have an aneurism.

Who said she's not also an atheist? The woman was just outside the mall crying, the person who "found $200" is the one who is praising a god.

When the bird opens its beak to grab you, cram the cinnamon stick in as hard as you can and run away.

While it's coughing up cinammon, you can quickly grab a No Hunting sign and plop it down. This way the bird knows it can't hunt for food in this area and will have to move on.

I know fully grown adults who think the constitution has never been altered, the ammendments were always there and "just what the founding fathers worked on after signing it and sending it to king George", and that any talk about congress changing things after the fact is just 'liberal propaganda" and at least one person, when asked why they think that, responded with "well I've never seen an Ammendment happen in my lifetime so obviously it doesn't happen."

Several of these adults are related, so I can see why multiple people in the same family might hold that belief, but the fact that I know MORE THAN ONE is insane to me.

I went to school in a non-religious school that was very much a religious area. Sex Ed was basically the scene in Mean Girls "If you have Sex you WILL GET PREGNANT and DIE"

They quite clearly told the world what the other way was on January 6th, 2021.

But instead of learning from history, and taking care of the problem with harsh sentences representative of the crime that was committed, we went ahead and put on the fluffy kid gloves.

And nobody cares about the grumbling in the background about bullshit sentences. They'll use the same tired excuse of "we don't want to appear biased" or "we don't want to start more violence"

And the mere fact that they're too scared to punish people over fear of retribution just goes to show that domestic terrorism works! Yay! Something something we live in a society I guess.
