I created the Icon and banner in over 3 agonizing hours in Gimp. Since this was pretty much my first time using it it doesn't look the best. If you want to create a better version, just post it in the comments and I'll likely use it.

Considering this is a new community I'm not expecting a lot of posts, but if you want to be a mod, you can dm me. It would probably be good if someone covered covered the opposite timezone.

Minecraft currently has minecraftbuddies@lemmy.world. I don't know if the mod is still active, but since it doesn't look like it, I will allow Minecraft posts.
