You are definitely correct. But how I interpret the post is, that saying "everyone is a little autistic" is wrong. And I agree with that. I don't like how it is written. To me it sounds the same as noone is a little autistic. But that is language being not logical.

The login screen is handled by the display manager (DM). Linux Mint Cinnamon (not sure if you're using that) uses lightdm with the slick greeter by default.
