We informed you earlier that it would be deployed around 19:0 0, but there was an issue during the build preparation process, so it has become difficult to meet the earlier announced time.

Hello, this is Project Moon.

In this notice, we would like to inform you about the causes and our measures toward issues that have been identified, in addition to the softlocking issue in our previous notice. With it, we would also like to inform you regarding our new client update.

▶ An issue where the game softlocks in certain Encounters

[ Cause ]
This issue was a side effect of fixing the issue where the targeting mechanism for Skills with the [Indiscriminate] trait did not work properly, the fix for which was deployed with today's Scheduled Update.

The side effect was that, when an enemy target uses a [Indiscriminate] Skill in Focused Encounters, we observed an abnormal legnthening of the targeting time, which caused the game to softlock.

[ Solution ]
We have identified the exact logic that was causing the issue, and have tracked and corrected the cause of the error to properly address it.

[ Subsequent Measures ]
We will be adding a logic to preemptively detect other logics that are taking abnormally long to calculate.

▶ An issue where certain effects of the E.G.O Gift Omnivibro-octovecti-bell did not work properly
※ Relevant effect : extend the Tremor - Superposition on target at Turn End to the next turn

[ Cause ]
In Focused Encounters, the E.G.O Gift should have applied to each part of enemies, but it was applying Tremor - Superposition to the enemies themselves, which caused the relevant effects to not trigger.

[ Solution ]
We have adjusted the code so that the E.G.O Gift's effects apply to each part instead of the enemy itself in Focused Encounters.

[ Subsequent Measures ]
Going forward, we will be including an additional testing step to ensure that E.G.O Gift effects are applying to each Part in Focused Encounters, so that this issue won't occur again.

▶ New Client Deployment ETA

A new Client version(1.83.1) with fixes for the above issues will be deployed.

STEAM: The update will be deployed around 19:00 (KST).
iOS, Android: As Client updates need to go through the review process of each respective marketplaces, we will inform you again of the update schedule once the reviews are complete.

[Known Issues]
▶ An issue where playing through certain stages could cause the game to softlock
※ Relevant Encounters: My Form Empties, Trash Crabs

▶ Fixed an issue where a Choice Event(in Chapter 6.5-15 (Hard difficulty)) choice that needs a certain E.G.O Gift to access doesn't become accessible even when the player has the relevant E.G.O Gift

[Bug Fixes & Improvements]
▶ Fixed the incorrect description for the E.G.O Gift 'The Unchosen', where the text did not match our intentions

  • Before : Whenever an ally is killed, all allies gain 2 Attack Power Up next turn
  • After : When an ally is killed, all allies gain 2 Attack Power Up next turn (once per turn)

※ This issue was caused by failing to update the description to match the E.G.O Gift effect changes that were made in the pre-release phase of the Walpurgis Night event, which caused the outdated version of the description to be applied to the live version of the game.

Normally, our policy is to change the effects to match the texts. However, if we were to change the effects to match the text in this case, it could cause a balancing issue in which ally death could give up to 12 Attack Power Up to all allies, so we intend to change the text instead.

We sincerely apologize for the confusion caused by the incorrect text description.

We are currently investigating these known issues, and we will fix them as soon as the exact issue is identified.

The studio trying to get more money out of the game after firing every person whose creativity and skill made the game what it is leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. As far as I could see, this is the source of the vast majority of the negative comments.

It's like when people praise Disco Elysium and add "but don't buy it because the creators won't get any money from it". Same feeling of defensiveness about the original team.

Agreed. When I saw the timing of the new Canto I thought to myself that doing an April Fools right in the middle of that would be awkward on all levels, and while last year's joke was without exaggeration the most fun I ever had with an April Fools I'm glad that Project Moon decided to not spread themselves thin nor break the mood they've worked to set up.

Yes, I'm still juggling way too many plates at once compared to the spoons I have. Meh. That being said, Finish What You Started began yesterday, so I exhumed an old and dusty WIP to work on. It's Star Wars, reader insert, and it was supposed to be PWP but uh... OK I'm nailing the "no plot" but when you get over a certain amount of angst and psychological analysis it doesn't exactly make the transition to smut easy either x') Time will tell if I manage...

Also earlier this week I had a stupid doctor appointment to renew meds that should be renewed automatically if things made sense, but my point is: waiting room. Doctors' waiting rooms are a space out of reality where I find myself reading books even though I've been basically unable to for years. So I've read Straight by Chuck Tingle. It's not the kind of book that'll spawn fandomy things for me, but if you like horror (or even if you're not particularly interested in horror but are not repulsed either) I warmly recommend it =)

Well, maybe this event would be more to your taste then, given it's a low engagement, "do what you can when you can" event ^^ There's no sign-up, no objective set in stone, it's really more of a way for people to cheer on each other for a common goal of finishing stuff. Some people do word sprints, some ask for an accountability buddy, some post todo lists... but also some just hang out and clap when someone finishes something. The admin makes posts with tips and/or motivation stuff. It's very chill unless you personally asked for it not to be =)

Congrats on existing! That's already plenty badass in the current chaos. Sending strength both for your creative projects and for your Pillowfort fixing. It's really a shame that tumblr can't stay out of the "let's break everything" party.

I discussed it on mastodon with someone a bit more experienced with kbin than I am, and apparently it's a known problem that mastodon and kbin/lemmy do not play well together yet, but people hope that it'll get better because kbin and lemmy are still young compared to mastodon so of course they have less working features.

They fact that different instances of kbin and/or lemmy are also having a hard time synchronizing posts is still puzzling though. I know sometimes I need to comment on a post I make to have it appear on kbin, but I don't know why these posts and why it works...

So! I'm not doing NaNo but I'm determined to cheer on everyone tackling this challenge, so have a little "you can do it" dance ♥

As for me: right now I'm trying to finish a fic for a kinkmeme. My inability to focus would be impressive if it wasn't so annoying x') For later this month, I opened prompts in a community to try to liven it up and will choose the prompt I'll write on the 8th. (I already know what it'll be because there's only one prompt and at this point I'm pretty sure no one else will even acknowledge the existence of my post. Well, I wanted to see if people there wanted fanfic, I have my answer.) And for a more long-term project, there's a fic I've wanted to finish for years to post for a friend's birthday in January, and I decided (again) that this year I would finish it dammit. So I have two months for that. We'll see if I do better than all the previous years x')

Now, time to stop procrastinating and go write this damn kinkmeme fic... *glares at open doc*
