Who really believes Russia will stop at their current claims? Once they achieve their current goals, they'll attack for more, and more, and more. The killing doesn't stop.

I definitely remember the girl who walked out of her house and down her garden path, stepped on to the street footpath which is on a hill and icy, immediately started sliding down the hill, grabbed the metal railing fence and shouted, terrified, back towards her house "MUM! MUM HELP! MUMMMMM!"

So there's at least one other cringey person.

Yep, just seems disingenuous to act like the history of the spice trade hasn't affected our food culture when it clearly has massively. Hell, even curry in Japan is popular not because of India but because of British influence. The reason "Katsu Curry" is called Katsu is because of the English word "Cuts" referring to the cuts of meat in the curry, which is Japanese sounds like 'katsu'.

People getting all out of shape about the age of the hobbits whereas Gandalf was created at the beginning of time, which is much older than 2019 years old. That's likely the age of his current physical manifestation, but his spirit is truly ancient.

The Universe in Middle earth is about 55,000 years old, but that's stated to be created after creation, so Gandalf was created before that.

You can see the person she's aiming at is a peasant since they're so skinny.

I'm British and I see it's wrong because it simply isn't true... We have a ton of spicy foods. The stereotype that we only eat comfort foods like in the meme is old and worn out. Maybe that's all you eat, but that's on you.

Why is this a gendered thing? If you replaced "Younger girls" with "any person" and "Men" with "Other people" then this not only remains true, but actually makes just as much sense and applies to more situations.

There are many reasons we are screwed as a species. There's pretty much nothing I can do about it, unfortunately.

Whenever this discussion happens in my country, where the death penalty has been abolished, I always point them to cases like this. They argue "But we will be better". Historically we have not been better, and we are only getting worse.

The character that Gordon Ramsey puts on for Americans is so wild. Certainly he's to the point and frank whenever he appears on British TV, but he's far from this raging aggressive personality he has on American TV.

My least favourite was my company motto of "Personal, Simple, Brilliant." It was supposed to be an ethos that ran through the whole company. It was actually just what management expected front line workers to be towards customers, regardless of whether the business leaders were making decisions to screw over the customer and the front line staff or not.

The amount of times I asked for support only to be shot down and laughed at when I told them "Well, that doesn't sound very personal, simple or brilliant to me." when speaking of their management culture.

Half of Pokémon are heavily inspired by artist's (who are not affiliated with Nintendo) illustrations of popular Yokai (Japanese mythological creatures). The rest are simply animals with very generic additions. "It's a cow but bipedal" "It's a kangaroo but with horns" "It's a pigeon but... actually yeah it's just a pigeon. No difference."

How can you copyright/patent that? It's hardly original.

I say this as someone who grew up loving Pokémon.
