Yikes. That last paragraph talking about the films plot makes it read like they're trying to advertise the upcoming movie on top of someone's death.

From a different post for this link: "Wow, this is so sad. I didn't know there was a Wonder Man thing in production either."

Sounds like it's working

[-] werefreeatlast@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago

Me either but did you know wonderman's penis is 12" long and it can become invisible? All he needs is another person to make his penis invisible.

[-] Z3k3@lemmy.world 13 points 9 months ago

That's exactly what they are doing.

Can't let a good tragedy go to waste

[-] Jaccident@lemm.ee 11 points 9 months ago

I wouldn’t read into it; Deadline end most articles that mention a production with a small synopsis.

[-] GreenEnigma@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

Rag name oddly appropriate here.

You know this could have been completely avoidable and never would have happened if they just stopped trying to make these fucking movies

Edit - apparently you guys need this more than I do lol

Yes dear, if they didn't have the nerve to try making a movie this crew member would still be alive. Brilliant observation. Bravo.

[-] KingJalopy@lemm.ee 6 points 9 months ago

You guys are a humorless bunch

[-] ZeroCool@slrpnk.net 38 points 9 months ago

Try being funny next time.

[-] KingJalopy@lemm.ee 6 points 9 months ago

Ouch. My feelings.

[-] sentient_loom@sh.itjust.works 7 points 9 months ago

Some folks don't get jokes. Not surprising that it's Marvel fans!

[-] GONADS125@feddit.de 7 points 9 months ago

You don't like highly repetitive films that don't require quality writing or acting, filmed entirely in front of green screens!?

The Marvel cinematic universe is the movie equivalent of reality TV...

[-] jackalope@lemmy.ml 14 points 9 months ago

I don't think the it's dumb capeshit is the cause of death bud.

[-] betterdeadthanreddit@lemmy.world 16 points 9 months ago

Death only happens while working on superhero movies, that's why they're so expensive to produce.

[-] FenrirIII@lemmy.world 9 points 9 months ago
[-] sentient_loom@sh.itjust.works 3 points 9 months ago

Yeah but if they hadn't been making this movie he wouldn't have died.

[-] citrusface@lemmy.world 30 points 9 months ago

If he was never born he would have never died.

[-] sentient_loom@sh.itjust.works 2 points 9 months ago

But then he wouldn't be born. I want him to be alive! Have you no heart???

[-] echodot@feddit.uk 5 points 9 months ago

How do you know. He could have died on the set of a romantic comedy what difference does it make?

[-] sentient_loom@sh.itjust.works 1 points 9 months ago

There's nothing romantic or funny about workplace fatalities.

[-] echodot@feddit.uk 2 points 9 months ago

Yeah and I never said that was did.

come on if you going to be an argumentative prat at least be even remotely believable.

[-] sentient_loom@sh.itjust.works 1 points 9 months ago

It's also not remotely believable that this person was destined to die regardless if they were on the utter death trap of a marvel toilet-movie (full of diseased psychopaths) or if they were on the set of a much more benevolent film such as a romantic comedy.

A rigger working at Radford Studios in Studio City died today after falling from a catwalk, Deadline has learned. The male crew member, who died at the scene, was working on the set of Marvel Studios’ Wonder Man, but the series was not filming at the time.

The Los Angeles Police Department later confirmed and identified him as Juan Carlos Osorio, 41, of Temple City.

[-] thesilverpig@lemmy.world 12 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

As a film electric rigger at home with a broken elbow because of a ladder fall, this shit hit close to home for me.

[-] CosmicApe@kbin.social 2 points 9 months ago

Damn, Alec Baldwin back making movies?

[-] Ultragramps 13 points 9 months ago

Falling deaths are more Vlad Putin’s thing.
