Might as well just apply that to all of amazon tbh.

As someone who may or may not also work at a cloud provider. Yep

I enjoy raging monthly on the feedback button

How absolutely delightful it was to review PRs on that web console. And how easy and straightforward it was to setup notifications when the state of a PR changed (e.g. to configure an SNS topic triggered on the repository event with an email endpoint subscribed to it). It was last year. I don't work there any more.

Do the same people work on the Amazon app?Because I really wanna know why in the fuck they moved the search bar to the bottom of the screen for no discernable reason after it being on the top for years.

[-] alxhghs@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 year ago

Haha most likely a totally different team. I like the bottom bar though, easier for big screens

[-] pickscrape@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Easier one-hand access is probably exactly why it was moved.

I have a note 9 but not large hands. The top was much easier for me with 1 hand

[-] ech0@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

You're lying or just stupid then. Bottom bar is always 100% easier especially if you have small hands. You are just objectively wrong

Firefox did the same.

And I actually love it.

Firefox search bar is at the top on my computer and phone. Maybe it's an option?

[-] sorrowl 3 points 1 year ago

It's an option on phones.

seems to be how they hire UI ppl at my current project tbh

Last time I used code commit it didn’t have search. So hard to navigate big repos

[-] Uplink@programming.dev 2 points 1 year ago

I tried to download a repository as a zip file but you can't do that in code commit. That's a problem in a big corp environment, where getting your local git credentials to work with codecommit is actually a very big hassle.
