The clinical term is "heat exhaustion".

Or "a typical Tuesday at work" for me...

The labor laws are so insanely vague here in NY that it literally says "all factories must maintain a reasonable temperature and humidity." They then never define what that is and my representatives won't answer when asked what it is...

It gets over 90°F and 90% humidity frequently in here... Literal sweatshop lol

With the new climate its gonna be used so often that we need a shorter word for it.

Hmm.. Hex'd? Cli-angry? Hausted? Nah, doesn't feel catchy enough.

I actually like hex'd. In Germany a "Hexe" is a (mostly evil) witch. And as it kinda feels like getting cursed, that one has a nice twist.

It's called overheating.

"Full-Florida", that's how I tease my temperature-sensitive Floridian gf

Severe heat

88°F or 31°C

88 would be refreshing

[-] amgine@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

88 is our night time lows right now

[-] OptimisticPrime@lemmy.fmhy.ml 1 points 2 years ago

Hangry is not that. Its when you are so hungry you are getting angry.

[-] wander1236@sh.itjust.works 10 points 2 years ago

That's probably why the tweet says they want a word like hangry for this other situation
