Oh boy, the Nazi that is now suing a US state over them trying to stop AI from generating CSAM has a bad take? Shocked.

[-] SCmSTR 12 points 2 hours ago

Not a "space" Nazi. Just a very rich and powerful one.

What did we used to do to rich and powerful Nazis? Because keeping those around seems like a problem for everybody.

[-] Nonconfrontational@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 hour ago

Give them high paying jobs in the defense industry, NASA, and NATO.

I am the Great and Wonderful Oz, therefore I will think for you to ease your burden.

Elon Musk only had to shut the fuck up and mind his business and he could’ve been the happiest, most successful, piece of shit drain on society alive. Instead, he’s a miserable little bitch whining online about a murder committed by an officer 6 years ago. Christ.

[-] Vex_Detrause@lemmy.ca 1 points 45 minutes ago

Here comes the pardon...

"Space Nazi" affords him even the dubious accolade of getting to or enabling space travel.

Just call him a Nepo Nazi, as he is. Highlights the only thing he's achieved: getting ahead based on being raised with "South African emerald mine" money.

[-] JerkyChew@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

There must be some really crazy credible allegations about to drop for him to try this level of SEO-bombing.

[-] paddy@piefed.social 20 points 5 hours ago

He continued to kneel on George's neck for several minutes after being told - by his fellow officers - that he had no pulse. He 100% intended for that man to die.

[-] postmateDumbass@lemmy.world 16 points 10 hours ago

I distinctly remember when that video popped up on reddit.

My reaction was "i just watched a murder."

It was very clear in the moment, nothing has changed that.

[-] Naive@lemmy.world 16 points 11 hours ago

The father of all lies. I have seen no one that lies as much as him and these AI bros. They should be deported to Mars. They do not deserve to live on Earth

[-] Glaedr304@lemmy.world 7 points 11 hours ago

Deported to mars without a space suit

[-] Naive@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago

And without any of their gadgets. Just they themselves.

[-] vala@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 5 hours ago

Nah, he can take grok and X with him

[-] joecitizen@piefed.ca 30 points 14 hours ago

Jail all billionaires. You can't be that rich without being a thief. You've stolen wages from the people.

He also ran PayPal, been stealing from people for yeeeaaars.

[-] ragebutt@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 10 hours ago

“Why do people say such atrocious things” they wonder, as they endlessly reply, retweet, screenshot and spread to other social networks, etc

Engagement is engagement

[-] Mulligrubs@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago

When have people not said atrocious things?

...and how could it be bad to discuss those atrocious things that were said?

Yes, Twitter makes money from engagement, engagement is big business everywhere from bars to church to parks to online meeting places. Engagement is supremely important and valuable.

[-] ragebutt@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 3 hours ago

yes exactly. Why do you think that is???

Human behavior is motivated by several functions, one of the most common being attention. Note that attention is not qualified or given adjectives. This is because behavioral research has shown for decades that attention is attention and serves to reinforce the behavior, thus increasing the likelihood that it continues

“Don’t feed the troll”, basically

Think about it, what does Elon (or anyone like him) get from posting nasty shit or doing hitler salutes? Notoriety. And what happens when you engage with this to label it as bad? Does he suffer? No, he is emboldened. Both financially (as you’ve mentioned) and through the function of attention based reinforcement. Someone telling you you’re a fucking piece of shit is still someone willing to give you the time of day.

However, this very basic concept is both apparently extremely difficult to understand as well as reliant on impulse control which is increasingly in short supply. Thus, we are doomed.

[-] DakRalter@thelemmy.club 10 points 17 hours ago

That was the moment he got enough XP to change classes from Space Karen to Space Nazi.

[-] Amberskin@europe.pub 15 points 14 hours ago

Is it legal to wish someone to put a knee on his neck until this bastard passes out?

[-] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 5 points 12 hours ago

It's legal to wish he gets fucked to death by Gritty of the Philadelphia Flyers.

[-] Hueristic_Autistic@lemmy.world 29 points 17 hours ago

'Kay smart guy: What do you call it when you suffocate someone to death with your knee on their neck?

[-] huppakee@lemmy.world 5 points 14 hours ago

Depends on the facts, if you intend to kill someone it is murder and if you don't intend to kill someone it is doing something you didn't intended that left someone murdered because of you.

[-] FlyingCircus@lemmy.world 6 points 11 hours ago

You’re trying to be sarcastic about how the media and bootlickers use the passive voice, right? “X murdered Y” vs. “Y died, X’s knee was in the vicinity.”

I think these other commenters are jumping to the wrong conclusion.

[-] huppakee@lemmy.world 2 points 10 hours ago

Yes, might be better to use /s behind it but i refuse to put it there only so people read beyond the first line. I dont care about downvotes, and some of those might come from people who read everything but did not understand my message, that could be my fault, but so many people start writing a comment or downvote something without even reading the whole thing. Those people lead lives full of emotions they gave themselves. They want to be angry about something and will fire at anyone who seems a valid target. People who jump to conclusion do really hurt themselves and especially their world view, because they only see what they want to see.

[-] Omgpwnies@lemmy.world 3 points 12 hours ago

He was already cuffed and in the cruiser. They stopped, took him out and killed him after he was already fully in custody.

bootlicker, go back to Reddit.

[-] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 2 points 12 hours ago

Literally nobody believes your racist bullshit anymore.

[-] huppakee@lemmy.world 4 points 11 hours ago

It's not racist bullshit. You just didn't read more then the first line. Like most people in the internet i guess

[-] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 3 points 11 hours ago

See like this sorta bullshit used to work too. You've used up your benefit of the doubt.

[-] Hueristic_Autistic@lemmy.world 2 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago)

He looked dead inside when he was on George Floyd's neck for 9 and a half minutes. There's also better ways much better ways to restrain someone. There's two-point restrain methods and they could've done a four-point because there was two officers there, they could've held his legs and his arms, they could've shackled higls ankles and made him walk slowly to the vehicle; They could've done anything else.

They didn't have a reason to do a neck restraint. A neck restraint just isn't chill, unless the person is a terrorist then give em the neck knee.. 😋

[-] huppakee@lemmy.world 3 points 11 hours ago

You can deadly things without intent to murder someone. I didn't say he wasn't murdered. I'm taking the piss they consider intent 'a fact' that can be proven.

[-] EmptyAsparagus@piefed.social 34 points 20 hours ago

why do we care about the space nazi? his views are bad every single time, its getting tiresome.

[-] Prior_Industry@lemmy.world 28 points 17 hours ago

Because the arsehole has the money to impose his views on others all over the world. Also hopefully making his name and associated companies dirt might actually start impacting his bottom line.

[-] ClownStatue@piefed.social 12 points 15 hours ago

^^^THIS RIGHT HERE! ^^^

It’s very hard to overstate how much power this asshole’s wealth gives him. People joke about it all the time, but he is effectively above the law. For some reason, people equate his wealth with intelligence, so they listen to him. When the disagree with anything he says, that wealth/intelligence pops up and they assume he knows something they don’t.

He is an incredibly dangerous person. Especially so, given his obvious fascist and racist tendencies.

Because he's the richest man in the world and because his reckless shenanigans have caused massive loss of life.

It's a situation that really warrants help from a plumber's brother.

Can you imagine what his marketing team would create if given the chance? Instead of Space Nazi it'd be Sky Prophet.

All these months later and I still can't believe someone Nazi saluted at the US presidential inauguration. Absolutely wild.

And then a few months after that the US gave him trillions of dollars. Just wow!

[-] QueenHawlSera@piefed.social 9 points 17 hours ago

My Right-Leaning ex-friends swear it was just a "My heart goes out to you" gesture, they can't even admit it was what it was.

He doesn't have to have intended to kill the guy to be criminally liable for his death. He was grossly negligent in his sustained use of a restraint technique with lethal capacity and callously unrelenting in the force applied, which was deemed excessive, even as the danger Floyd was in was apparent, and even then after he went still and no longer had a pulse. Whatever his intent, he murdered that man by two different legal definitions as the justice system concluded.
