He never said he'd stop. He did say he'd take a step back.... He did for a month and now he's back on it like ketamine.

Back on it like his dad on his stepsister.

Keep in mind that those amounts are still small change for him.

It's 0.012% of $1 trillion.

So imagine you have $10,000 in your bank account. This would be like giving away $1.20.

I did that math quick so someone correct me if I'm wrong

Well, he doesn't get involved in politics anymore. His money however is an entirely different thing alltogether. Now, he's just like any other billionaire in this aspect.

He said that because he thought his involvement in politics had cost him money. It damaged Tesla's brand image and hurt its sales. He thought that this could cause his wealth to decrease. That Tesla's share price would go down. That the markets would punish him for his folly.

It did not.

He has instead found himself richly rewarded for it.

"Trump said" "Elon said" these people chain-post endlessly. At the end of the day, they have less recollection of what they posted than a TikTok addict of what they scrolled through.

  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
